I know this has been covered before,but I searched on here and couldnt find the info. What years are the best to find ?? I would rather start with a roller motor. What year did the come out with the roller cams ?? I have read 1984 and also read that it wasnt until the early 90s ?? I am just looking for the best platform to start with. Any info is appreciated. I found some block casting numbers for the roller motors which are supposidly from 532981-850653. If I cross them number with ih those are casting numbers for a 93-96 466p or "ngd" motor. So were the ngd motors the only ones available with roller lifters ? Never a 83-92 466c ?? Also from what I have read the "426" head casting is the best to start with correct ?? Around what year ranges were they made ???

No one ?? I know someone on here has info if a "c" motor was ever available with a roller cam....

468 engine S/N 439618 & up should be,but they have been around long enough that people have rebuilt them with flat tappet cams!!!
