A Little Project (Non-Puller) November 09, 2011 09:13AM
Back in 1987, my Dad and a buddy of his (mainly his buddy), put a set of 18.4 38 triples on our John Deere B and used it to pull floats in local parades. My Dad's buddy passed away last year and so did most of the knowledge on how to get this done. My Dad said he thought they had to put different hubs on the tractor to get the first set of rims/tires mounted. After that, I believe they just used 'clamp on' duals. This coming Summer, our hometown is going to Celebrate 125 years, and I would like to re-create this. I was wondering if any of you had some ideas on how to get this done, or what hubs/parts I would all need?? The B has it's factory rims (and exhaustSmiling) back on it nowadays. Ideas/Suggestions?? Maybe there is an easier way nowadays??
