probably 15 yrs ago,my brother and i were looking to buy a old pro to make into a mod stock.we inquired about dallas's tractor.he was in florida at that time, the tractor was sitting in a barn, somewhere around the louisville-canton,ohio area.the tractor was not for sale,at that time, and had not been run for quite a few years.story we got was, tractor was bought new as a 986 never was hooked to a farm impliment, was sent to hyper and made into a puller...didn't glenn fink get one of gallagher's 6030's,and pull it in mod stock in eastern ohio... |
Re: Who are they??
|
I beleive that 6030 in the photo is the one that glenn fink has now, and i beleive dick bonner out of ohio got the other 6030 that galligers had |

Although I can't day with 100% certainty, but I would say that jd does not look like ernie ropp. their equipment was always very clean and sharp. that tractor did not look like the quality i remember. plus i did not see any mention of farmers supply which was his dealership he owned in kalona ia and usually had some advertising for the dealership.

#3 is Bart Johnson, pulled in the OSTPA Super Stock class in the late 80s-early 90s. Still have a couple tapes of those pulls laying around. He was one of the few that still ran just 2 chargers. |
