were the best place to contact to get the work done to put 4020 ring and pinion in a 4010 and also is it worth the money? |

about any machine shop should be able to do it, i just did my own. shaft is pretty hard and it takes some time, but not too bad. |

what all has to be done to put the 20 ring and pinion in? |

I have done several of these. The 4020 shaft is longer so you have to make it shorter and also it has to be machined to a smaller diameter where the back bearing fits. Also on the ones I did, the splines had to be extended back a little. The grooves for the snap rings are also not in the right spot so new grooves need machined in the shaft.
I could probably do yours but I am a little backed up right now. I am building 5 whole three speed transmissions for small blocks and a couple whole three speed transmissions for big blocks.
