NTPA Membership December 03, 2011 10:02PM
I'm wondering if a person only plans to pull with NTPA region 3 for only 2 or 3 hooks a season, Do they still have to pay the complete Drivers license fee and the vehicle registration fee?

Yes or pay a perhook fee. No pro rating of a membership based on the amount of hooks you think you will make.

I think the per hook fee is 90, in addition to the regular entry fee (1% of purse, usually $33 in the R2 events we went to).

$369 for 3 events. If you go to 4, you're better off with the membership. Plus you do get a free subscription to the magazine.

And if you pay membership, you do not get charged the $50.00 clutch inspection fee, non-members must pay.
And they send you the $6.00 rule book "free".

Depends how much you gonna run with ntpa and RN/state member stuff. entry fees are plenty high for a tomah/BG type events and add $90 more per hook/per class it can add up fast. big classes and then getting in the top 12 also make it a "donation" to pull. But if your pulling a lot of ntpa stuff, membership is a no brainer.
