tri state classes December 06, 2011 09:35AM
heard tri state maybe adding a couple of classes.just wondering if it is true and if so what classes? thanks

Re: tri state classes December 06, 2011 02:10PM
Tri State is going to try a 2.6 diesel truck class or a 466 a pump 3000 rpm class if the board thinks that a show is going to be short of tractor or trucks. It is not going to happen at every pull. With July only having 4 weekends this next season there will a lot of pulls in a very short time.

Re: tri state classes December 06, 2011 03:05PM
So what will the rules be? Are they gonna follow a set from another club?

Re: tri state classes December 06, 2011 03:23PM
So what's up, with the V8 tractor's?

Re: tri state classes December 07, 2011 01:12AM
They are going to try paying points out at the year end to draw numbers. Personaly i am staying with badger state. To little to late is my opinion.Badger is a way better deal and pay much better and not as much class jumping. There numbers are way down and promoters are going to start looking elsewhere in my opinion.I hope the best for them in 2012.

v8 tractors December 07, 2011 01:26AM
what did the v8 tractors change for rules? did they allow an aftermarket engine block?

Re: tri state classes December 07, 2011 02:22AM
How is the board going to know that they will be short on trucks or tractors until the day of the pull ? and then they got 2 classes on stand by ? Doesnt make since !

Re: tri state classes December 07, 2011 05:45AM
Why 466 not 540 or even 640 allow more colors not ared green show again

Re: tri state classes December 07, 2011 12:32PM
Keeping it 466 DOES allow more color. Once you start opening up the cubes you loose color. Look at the super farm class.

Re: tri state classes December 07, 2011 01:56PM
505ci maybe but anything over that and you will loose color. 640ci classes were never about color its all about red, green, and money.

Re: tri state classes December 07, 2011 04:33PM
To CANT BUY RESPECT you made sure the hot farm rules were the same as you badger state guys! But as soon as you guys started getting beat you stopped coming around. If you wanted year end money for points you should of brought it up at a preveious meeting! Ok James!!!

Re: tri state classes December 08, 2011 01:14AM
Hey leave me out of this i didnt post that up there!! i could care less what you guys do! tri state is much cheaper to run badgerstate and they have more that are closer to me. the computition isnt as deep in the class as badgerstate but still some fun people to pull with!

Re: tri state classes December 08, 2011 02:31AM
stock cubes over 466?

Re: tri state classes December 08, 2011 04:52AM
i pull an allis and i would not come if it were anything above 466. i also want to no why the a pump

Re: tri state classes December 08, 2011 06:04AM
How heavy of a 3000 rpm class i am putting a 560 together with a 466 thinking 6000lbs on my end i would efinetly come around with it if they make a like a limited light hot farm class!! im just going cam ground port and polish 3lm turbo 13 mil pump lines and injectors stuff! be great to run with a bigger club once thanks for the opinion space

Re: tri state classes December 09, 2011 03:20AM
Part of the reason i pull badger is the points fund and larger payback. I also enoy watching the other tractor classes full of top notch equipment in my opinion.Truth be told the main reason i will pull badger is all the games that are going on.I watched very closely and kept quiet as all this talk of traction control was going on.As the year progressed i watched real closely and 100% agree with people as to who was running it. Then the rules for the class disapeared off the tri-state web site and they claimed it was leagal to run as the rules were put back on the net.Even us tractor guys were well aware of the trucks in tri-state running fantasy rules and it not being legal there. Then at the rules meeting you acted like you were completly confused of what it was and how it worked and asked questions that were insulting the intelegence of us members.Your trucks run well and you spend tons of money on them.To sit there and act like you new nothing of it or about it was overkill. All the talk you for sure would of checked into it or if you know nothing then how did you know you did not have it and it was legal to run.I think when you were busted you should of quit it or fessed up and took responsibility. You created a bad situation for all pullers and took the fun out of it for me and i think others. This did and will continue to hurt your numbers and reputation in my opinion and other members. This is just my opinion and may be all off base but tired of the feeling we are dumb and unaware of what's up. Merry Christmas and good luck to all.

Re: tri state classes December 09, 2011 09:39AM
well said ! glad i wasn't the only one that noticed this

Re: tri state classes December 08, 2011 06:30AM
Why is it that everyone thinks that any class needs to be over 540. Every brand has a engine that can play at 540. 466 is ok also there is no need for the big cubes. In my opinion this should have never be let to get this carried away in the first class. The 619 would have never needed to be put in to tractor pulling especially being it never came in a 2wd ag tractor to begin with. The 531 could have been run in the 6030 and still been able to make 540 cubes. Anything over the 540 and that is where the all red and green show starts.

Re: tri state classes December 08, 2011 08:02AM

Re: tri state classes December 09, 2011 02:33AM
I dont believe IH came with a 466 either Case has504,Ih v8 550, MF 510,540, and 640,White oliver 480,v8 560,580,640,MM585 what would be wrong with stock cubesand stock appearing pump etc for bigger cubes, ford at 401,mf at354,oliver at310 thier 6cyl have a disadvantage

Re: tri state classes December 09, 2011 04:39AM
John deere has a 466, ih has a 436 or 466, ac has a 426, ford has a 401. There are a lot of tractors that can make it to 466 if there not there and it don't cost that much money. That is the big reason for a 466 3000rmp class. It don't cost 20k for a small block. The average puller can make be in this class with a tractor for around 15k.

Re: tri state classes December 09, 2011 07:12AM
I am not certain that you will have a competitive tractor at 15k. it will run good but i dont think it will be a winner all the time. also if they add this class you will get 466 guys that seem to have too much money and will put a tractor together for the class. Then they will say the reason for doing it is cuase he was bored! not to mention any names giese!

Re: tri state classes December 09, 2011 08:26AM
Giese definitely runs his mouth enough to have more than one tractor!

Re: tri state classes December 09, 2011 10:40AM
again dont bring me into this i dont want a 3000 RPM tractor...

Re: tri state classes December 10, 2011 01:17AM
how did you feel sunday morn

Re: tri state classes December 10, 2011 03:26AM
Mark to be honest sunday morning when i woke up to leave chula vista i felt alright! bout the time i got home is when everything went south........ at that point i hated life!! Had a great time at the banquet see u in a few weeks?!?! have a merry christmas and a happy new year bud!

Re: tri state classes December 09, 2011 09:39AM
my point is why does it have to be 466 why not 410, 430, 510 etc. jd and ih just bolt in 466 everyone else has to build up or down to 466

Re: tri state classes December 13, 2011 01:36AM
dont everyone agree the 466 guys have to many places and hooks to go to now-

Re: tri state classes December 09, 2011 09:08AM
look at the 5488

Re: tri state classes December 10, 2011 12:03PM
How about a class of lawn mowers or pedal tractors? They would fit in perfect. No just kidding they need to think bigger. Bigger is better. Bring on the big smoke tractors.

Re: tri state classes December 10, 2011 02:00PM
my view on adding a class to tri-state should be a 3000 rpm 466 or 430 c.i. it would be nice to have a starter class instead of jumping in with atleast 70k to compete. they already have big smokers 466 unlimited rpm, super farm, pro stock/super stock.

Re: tri state classes December 10, 2011 04:34PM
Now are they actually goin to add this 3000 rpm class or is this just a rumor. If so does anyone no all the rules for this class. Not what should be the rules. The actual rules.

Re: tri state classes December 20, 2011 04:59AM
They need a lighter small cube hot farm class like 410 single charger something that don't cost an arm and a leg

Re: tri state classes December 12, 2011 01:42AM
the 5288 came with a 466 also.

Re: tri state classes December 13, 2011 02:08AM
i think the 640 3000 would fit tri-state much better with what they already have- 466 guys have numerous places to hook every wkend now. or you could run them togather and give 466 400 more rpm and a little heavier

Re: tri state classes December 13, 2011 05:04AM
a good starter class is stock cubes, stock appearing pump, and a turbo limit (2.35-2.5 and enforced). 25 years ago super farm was stock appearing pump and t08 limit or p pump to4 or equivlant worked good lots of color ACs,Ford,MFs,IH,Case, and JDs

Re: tri state classes December 13, 2011 09:17AM
I think they need to add a LLSS class but have it like they do in ohio and be able to run diesel or alky. i bet some of the badger state guys would hook with them once and awhile and i bet there is guys around that would build alky LLSS if they had a place to pull them!

Re: tri state classes December 13, 2011 12:41PM
BINGO! Not everyone wants to haul around a 10,000lbs. tractor. A 6000lbs. Alky/Diesel class would be a good class for older ag chassis light supers to step down to. I can not be another diesel only class.

Re: tri state classes December 15, 2011 11:39AM
How can they add classes unless they are all going to 1 hook? Shows are too long thank god they pull the super pro class in the middle of the show so we all can at least see that.

Re: tri state classes December 15, 2011 01:55PM
Shows are not real long anymore. Shows are down to 50ish hooks total. My opinion they will be smaller yet this year. Courious do these added classes have to join or pay your 125.00 one time hook fee at each show? Not fair to the other members if they get out of membership fees. What is the rules and payback for these classes would also be nice to know.

Re: tri state classes December 15, 2011 04:39PM
spectator can't get into the show because the classes change every fifteen minutes. Not a competitive show with only 6 vehicles per class at most.

Re: tri state classes December 18, 2011 11:47PM
YOUR SO SMART ABOUT TRACTION CONTROL YOUR MR DAVIDSON AND MR BREINER CAN'T WAIT TO BE JUST LIKE YOU WHEN I GROW UP.

Re: tri state classes December 19, 2011 02:26PM
Ask around and you will find many people who share the same feelings. Judging by your post i would say there right.

Re: tri state classes December 20, 2011 12:27PM
