5.9 Cummins or 401 Ford on Alcohol??? January 17, 2012 12:03AM
After watching Jerry Sipes pull with his Cummins at Gordyville, just wondering what you guys thought would be the better motor for a light pro stock on alcohol?? The Cummins seemed to perform very well. We have a 401 cu in. limit in our club. I would love to build one after I finish my modified farm tractor, if time and money are available!! LOL! Being an orange man at heart, I could put an orange hood on a Cummins. Thanks for the thoughts!

The 401 Ford is definetly the stronger of the two if you are looking for it to be reliable. Also the the Ford head is much better to start with. You can get good flow with little work. The cummins head requires pretty extensive work. I would go with the Ford.
