Why? It'd be more trouble than its worth. I've done stuff like this before and its expensive and time consuming. When your finished you realize the truck wont carry the weight without farther modification to the front suspension and drive train. A 5.9 Cummins is a tight fit. Dont waist a truck or a engine. Stick it in a tractor
Save some money, just buy a 12v Dodge, junk the body and put your Chevy body on the frame. WAY less expensive than the mods you will have to do to run a DT466. IMHO
I want to do this because most of my buddies have cummins and i know that you can get alot of horsepower out of the 466 and it would be different from anyone else's truck i dont care if it would be easier to build a 12 valve cummins im a chevy guy and what is the phone number to monster garage

Maybe a better idea would be to keep the swap in the GM family.
Find you a Detroit 4-71, and a turbo off an 8V71T and keep the 9 or 13 speed trans and make a LONG shifter that almost touches the roof of the cab, and make SURE you put CHROME bull testicles off the rear bumper! And set it all off with 10" straights up thru the box.
Also some purple lights underneath shining on the road, or more likely, the mall parking lot.
To the big block brain child who thinks a DT is a boat anchor and duramax is great. Go crawl back in the hole you came out of and stay there! You can make a lot more power for way less money with the DT than the duramax or cummins!
