need twin turbo advice

I recently bought a almost complete tractor, it is a Ford, has a 401 motor. I was told it was going to be a twin charger when it was done. Everything looks to be correct for running it this way, but my main concern is what to run for chargers? It has a 800 cc p pump, how much of a twin set can I get away with? Any idea and help is appreciated! |

What would the inlet and outlet sizes be on chargers like that? Also just how much turbo can 800 ccs turn on a engine like this? |

The T18a90 is 3.6 inducer, they are probably talking about a T08 that is about 3". A S4 of similar size would be another option for the bottom charger. |

Run a 4.1x4.4 top charger, and a 3x3.75 bottom charger any make of charger will work just matter of what you an find. |

Is my pump enough to push a set like that? |

I run 800 cc p pump s4 3x3.5, and a t18a90 3.9x4.125 on top works great |

I have the following in the shop if you would need any.
t08 steel back fresh t08 steel back 6 runs 95 fresh 90 double thrust fresh all worked on by simpson and all would work for what you are doing. 712 887 1151 |

800cc has the potential for 1600hp. I am a believer that 80% of people over size there manifold charger. When they get down on the big end, they flutter and get under there chargers and choke. People will ridicule me for this, but I would go no more than 3x3.4 hanging on the manifold and a 4.1 out front. This is more than enough air for 1600 with 400cubes. |

I have an hx-82 on the bottom with an ht-100 on top. Builds a lot of boost, but takes cubes and fuel to feed it. Sounds like these guys have you on the right track. What do you guys think about throwing a 95 on top of a 74 for a more economically friendly twin? |

Don't sound bad Neil, don't know how big your 74 is, wanted to try a 95 and a 90 and guy told me a I might over spin the 95??? |

You would over speed the 90, not the 95. Would never stay on top of them on a good track. |

We have a similar setup with a 360. What all do you look for on turbo specs in setting up a twin, similar pressure ratios? How do you know what works and what won't? Also curious if changing exhaust housing on the big one up front what difference it will make? |
