Wondering if anyone out there can tell me the process and temps for heat treating DT466 connecting rods, or the type of material they are made from.

You don't want to heat treat the rods all it will do is make them a bit brittle. the stock rod will take more power without heat treating, than it will after treating it

That's one man's opinion. If you're gonna push it hard, get em hardened.

First you'll need a oven that will do 2,200 deg f. and a tempering oven that will do 600 deg. Quench Tank 50 gal. It's best to have someone do them that already has this stuff. Most heat treat ovens are over 3 grand. I've done about 80 set's, of rods and it makes a smoky mess.
