Re: tri state hot farms April 24, 2012 06:46AM
You are going to need at lease 1050hp!!!!!! More would be better!!!!!!!!

Re: tri state hot farms April 24, 2012 12:42PM
Build whatever you can afford, plus a little. Thats all any of us can do. Doesnt really matter what you are making for horsepower. There's more to it than that! Get it put together and I will be looking for you at the pulls. I'm nearly completed with a similiar project. 1566 with 466 engine, open rpm's p-pump etc. Good times ahead!

Re: tri state hot farms April 24, 2012 04:47PM
Tri State was a little short on hot farms last year so any additions for any amount of pulls would help.

Re: tri state hot farms April 25, 2012 02:22AM
don't know what dyno you have been on to get 1050hsp out of a 466 motor, but doudt that you really have 1050, maybe more like 900 to 950

Re: tri state hot farms April 25, 2012 03:28AM
NTPA puller I was over in rockcity il the other day and Kevins M&W PTO dyno said I had 1052hp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: tri state hot farms April 25, 2012 05:31AM
NTPA puller i reget to inform you that there are several 466 over the 1000hp mark. From what I heard there is a lot of tractors with those kind of numbers coming out of kevins shop. I dont know what it is, but the nothern boys aways seem to be strong in all classes... Best of luck to you this year Brandon and every one else

Re: tri state hot farms April 25, 2012 05:59AM
ntpa puller has clearly never seen the badger state hot farm class run, everybody in there is well over 1000hp some ive been told over 1100hp and thats a 3x3, 466 3x4 tractors have been over 1200hp for awhile now...

Re: tri state hot farms April 25, 2012 06:14AM
Well Brandon you better lookout I was just at Kevins also and I made 1055hp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: tri state hot farms April 25, 2012 06:16AM

Re: tri state hot farms April 25, 2012 06:51AM
any givinnight you can have different guy win in badgerstate 466 hot farm and its the best 466 class alike watching twenty insead 20 ntpa superfarm

Re: tri state hot farms April 25, 2012 07:02AM
it is a proven fact that a good 466 with good pump, injectors and 3x3 precision charger can make well over 1100 hp!!!

Re: tri state hot farms April 25, 2012 07:13AM
I'm just kinda curious on what kind of torque these tractors r putting out.

Re: tri state hot farms April 25, 2012 07:18AM
They range from 2200- 2500 plus foot pounds!!!!!!!!!

Re: tri state hot farms April 25, 2012 07:46AM
When you say a good pump and injectors what kind are you guys talking about? A pump,P pump? How many cc's of fuel?

Re: tri state hot farms April 25, 2012 07:52AM
P pump 3x3 smooth bore turbo 725-800 cc of fuel most guys run Harts, FVP, Columbus. schied, DIS they all make good stuff!

Re: tri state hot farms April 25, 2012 08:08AM
a good p3000 or 7100 series p pump, 5x22 or 5x25 dualfeed injectors, good camshaft and precision charger, and agree they all make good stuff but its finding the right combination to make it all work in a specific motor, you can build 2 identical motors with the same parts and one is guna make more power for some stupid reason!

Re: tri state hot farms April 25, 2012 09:53AM
The best superfarms(non-inter cooled), make around 1200hp with 640cubes, ppump, and best 3x3 charger out there. Very impressive if a 466 can make 1100 with similar pump, injectors and turbo.

Re: tri state hot farms April 25, 2012 10:28AM
I heard some of SF no inercooler are up 1300 orclose

Re: tri state hot farms April 25, 2012 10:37AM
That very well could be. That's pulling, they hp# keeps going upSmiling

Re: tri state hot farms April 25, 2012 10:55AM
Well James and Brandon good luck keeping up with those numbers!!!!!!! Was down in the Rock City a few weeks ago and all I can say is BIG numbers!!!! LOL
