what are or what is the sinkrow in atractor transmission

Re: sinkrows January 20, 2009 06:08AM
Syncro describes a type of transmittion. Deere used this distinction on its early 8 speed transmissions with syncronizers. These were used in 10, 20, and at least 30 series Deeres (Can't remember when they stopped). Hope this helps

We have a 7710 with the synchro trans ,yes it does shift easier but you must use the clutch on every shift, I prefer my other fords with the standard shift-only use the clutch to get moving then shift on the fly with out clutching!

Synchronizers look like a small clutch pack that is between the shifting fork and the gear that either speed up or slow down the shaft so it will only engage when the two shafts become synchronized.
