IH 400 series big truck intake questions

Does anybody have a good pic of the truck intake everybody is wanting. i think i have found one but would like to confirm before i get it. casting numbers a good picture or any key differences would help. also what kind of money are they getting for them now days |

I do beleve its the same. I seen some on here a few years ago for around $500 they still go for this much? whats an odd ball figure? thanks for the pic |

Is that the 1815307, never seen one mounted on a truck but they're on just about every puller or is that the 1819269? There was another thread here a couple weeks/months ago about manifolds (link to thread [www.pulloff.com] ) and was mentioned the 269 is better than the 307 but doesn't fit well under the tin, I only ever knew of the 307 as being "the one" until I read that thread. The 307's seem to run anywhere from $300-600, the two we have are in really good shape, no pitting or corrosion, have seen some the road salt ate up pretty good though. |

Don't know what size turbo you're using, but something smaller than 2.5, you will loose pressure. Will fall on it's face, just sayin, been there. |

This intake will most probably be on here for sale in a few days, how would it loose pressure? im not doubting you because i have yet to be there but please explain Thanks. |

Small Turbo blowing into larger space. Think of the difference between you blowing through a straw or a garden hose, thats the difference. On a larger Turbo it helps because there is a larger volume to charge the chamber when the valve opens. Hope this helps, my tractor with 3lm would fall on its face at 200 feet with big intake. |

Thanks. were you running the the 307 or the 269? I have the intake in the for sale section now and its a 307 |
