Installing piston cooling jets in a IH 300 series engine May 31, 2012 03:54PM
I want to install piston oiling jets in a 300 series IH engine. The nozzles from IH are $70 EACH!! There are 12 of them. Has anyone found a alternative to the IH part? Maybe some other manufacturer has a threaded nozzle?

My engine is getting them put in as well. They are aftermarket, but I don't know who has them. I will ask my machinist and get back to you.

Any information would be appreciated. I just got a price from my local Navastar dealer they want $40.41 each that comes to $484.92 for the 12 Must be another way.. Thanks.

The cooling jets i'm talking about are for the 300 and 400 IH series engines.

12 or 24 bothe have the same done through 2 sets away i plug them off in my engine i like more oil pressure and unless you have a 2ft long sroke the bottoms of the pistons are going to stay drownded anyway

Power max has them...dealer cost around $14 ..... price is up to the dealer check with your local power max dealer..........
