How do you define stock gas trucks?

Re: Attn Farm Stock, Stock Trucks, and Antique Pullers July 07, 2012 03:40AM
Call John Harris 608-604-9964, if you don't fit in the Stock class, we are also having SW Pullers Open Stock Saturday during the day.

Re: Attn Farm Stock, Stock Trucks, and Antique Pullers July 07, 2012 10:08AM
I know John, and I know his truck. That gives me the answer I need. Thanks! Smiling

Re: Attn Farm Stock, Stock Trucks, and Antique Pullers July 07, 2012 12:52PM
yea. johns truck isnt too stock. i really dont know how you can call it a stock truck class?

Re: Attn Farm Stock, Stock Trucks, and Antique Pullers July 09, 2012 01:39AM
You are right, John's truck isn't stock, but that is our entry level class for gas trucks at our event, and we have always called it that.

Attn Farm Stock and Antique Pullers July 15, 2012 07:36AM
Just want to be clear the rules are very simple for the classes starting at 11am on Saturday, been getting lots of calls and that is fine, but no speed limits any of the Churning Dirt Open Classes, no tire restrictions in any of the tractor classes, whatever it says on the website is what we are going to go with.

Attn Too Hot Too Farm Pullers and Open Farm Guys July 16, 2012 08:53AM
Attn: Too Hot Too Farm Pullers/Open Farm-you know what class you belong in, if you have been running too hot too farm or altered farm this year, do not jump into the open farm classes for your second hook, we don't want to have pace classes, we run very general rules so everyone can pull, no politics, just pulling, we hate having to dq someone for being 1mph over that drove 2 hours from Richland Center for a chance to win $100. Don't be that guy, please. If we see someone going down the track at 18-20 mph, we will kindly move you to the too hot too farm class. We are going to add a second too hot too farm hook, so you get 2 hooks. Every tractor can hook in two classes if they want, do not put your tractor in 3 classes and say someone else is driving. We have 4 very pretty ladies to sign up, do not take advantage of them, we will say the same thing at the drivers meeting Saturday morning at 1050am. I hope this makes sense.

We just want to have fun, a place that everyone can pull at during the day and stick around a watch the big show Sat night and drink some cold beer.

Re: Attn Farm Stock, Stock Trucks, and Antique Pullers July 16, 2012 12:41PM
Open Farm what are the rules then, I have a 1066 with almost bare 34" tires and can run in 3 HI which is about 16-20mph (idk i have never actually had it on the radar). I pull in the farm classes around sauk and havent had any grief for it.

Questions betweenToo Hot Farm and Open Farm July 17, 2012 01:50AM
Please contact Jason Kleppe at 608-604-5803. He can explain what we are trying to accomplish. We are thinking that open farm shouldn't be able to run 3 HI or a 7 gear range. Thanks

Our true farm classes are for the local guys and the Simpson Tractor/Meyer Chopper Box, Open farm is the next step up-we are trying to make it open so everyone can pull and then the next step is the too hot too farm. Hope this makes sense.

Re: Questions betweenToo Hot Farm and Open Farm July 17, 2012 08:23AM
I believe if you can run 3rd hi and spin out you belong in 2hot2 farm, in Darlington we had a couple guys slip through ran farm won and placed at 17t mph than signed up under another name in 2hot2 farm and took money, why would you have to do this? 11 or even 13mm rotary,10mm bosch,450 rosa, all these with a stock 3lm(not 3lm with a 2.5 wheel or bigger), lets all go to Jasons pull and have fun and play fair, its a tractor pull not a see who can screw who over the best. Just my feelings and thoughts

Re: Questions betweenToo Hot Farm and Open Farm July 17, 2012 01:47PM
On the same note 2 hot 2 farm was for tractors that were slightly above open farm and now you have P-pump tractors, a 6030 with an ice box intercooler and big cube builds if there are not some rules put in place most of the 2 hot tractors are going to go back to farm stock. I beleive the class was set up for stock core pump tractors in the 466ci range that just were a little to hot for farm stock and now it is getting out of hand. So if you want the hotter tractors out of farm stock keep 2 hot 2 farm what it was intended to be. I know a few guys in the farm class that would run 2 hot if it was regulated the way it was set up to be. Some of the open hot farm tractors need to move up and out.

Re: Questions betweenToo Hot Farm and Open Farm July 17, 2012 02:25PM
Im one of the guys that could run 3rd hi but run 2nd hi in farm stock because I know I cant run with the tractors stated above. Its one thing to get beat but to have tractors like that putting 50+ feet on most of the tractors is not my cup of tea. Good luck but I think if things dont change the class will be another hot farm class I will stick to farm stock for now.

Too Hot or Open Farm July 17, 2012 02:48PM
We just want to be as fair as possible on Saturday, that is all we are trying to do. We will figure it out, thanks for the input.

Re: Questions betweenToo Hot Farm and Open Farm July 18, 2012 12:57AM
I agree this is why everyone needs to get together and decide on some rules, where do you draw the line, Ive seen 5 tractors this year in farm with factory intercoolers that didnt come with them, and do you allow 450 heads and not 13mm rotary or reworked inlines, these are the things that need to be addressed after this year auniform set of rules for farm and 2 hot 2 farm, for now pull where they put you and work with the promoters try to work it out, tick them off enough there wouldnt be any farm pulls just orgs like Tri state, Badger State etc with set rules, who wants to deal with the drama

Re: Questions betweenToo Hot Farm and Open Farm July 18, 2012 03:34PM
you guys talk about puttin rules in farm and 2 hot...it would be great but please tell me whos going to enforce these rules? and theres always guys who arent smart enough to build power so we throw a bigger turbo on and so on. its a battle you will never win with brush pullers

Re: Questions betweenToo Hot Farm and Open Farm July 18, 2012 05:58PM
Then try to get the rules the same everywhere we go thats the other battle what works in center doesn't work in darlington or baraboo and so on.

Re; farm stock and antique pullers July 17, 2012 02:54PM
Jason, is the 6500 open class a farm class or is it a open RPM class ?

Re: Re; farm stock and antique pullers July 17, 2012 03:18PM
wide open, anything goes-just weigh 6500

Re: Re; farm stock and antique pullers July 18, 2012 10:04AM
Is there a speed limit on the 9000 farm class

Re: Re; farm stock and antique pullers July 18, 2012 11:14AM
no, the only speed limit classes are the chopper box classes for
