Re: Barron County truck and tractor pull Rice Lake WI July 13, 2012 06:53PM
One of my favorite pulls every year! I wish the farm class had more consistant weight classes though. I had hoped it would change with the management.

5,500 7,500 9,500 12,500 15,500 18,500 and unlimited seem more reasonable to me.

A 2,000 lb difference between the smaller classes and 3,000 lbs between the big ones. It never seemed fair to me that a guy with a Farmall M should have to chuck 2,500 lbs of weight between 5,000 and 7,500 or an IH 1206 3,500 lbs from 9,000 to 12,500 while a JD 3020 only has to ad 1,500 lbs between 7,500 and 9,000 or an IH 1066 has to add only 2,000 between 12,500 and 14,500. Maybe a 4,500 lb class could even be added.

Always a great show never the less!! Keep up the good work!!

Re: Barron County truck and tractor pull Rice Lake WI July 16, 2012 11:47AM
Sure would be nice to have the ability to see a list of pre-committed pullers attending this event... (only if there was one)
a very nice choice of classes.

Re: Barron County truck and tractor pull Rice Lake WI July 22, 2012 12:41AM
worse pull I ever seen or attended... Charge you $40.00 to hook an was told trophies and payouts for top three places. Well still waiting for them to locate the trophies and 3rd place was only 50.00. Thay had 1500+ people in the stands, so simple math means that they got 15,000+ alone in admission to watch. They bragged that they had $8000 + in payouts and $1800+ dollars for trophies all donated which means that the pullers were paying to put on the show again... I know that the sled only cost them at most $900.00 so where is the rest of the money go? It even gets better when we had to drop a class because of mechanical issues and we asked for our money back they told us that we donated that...I will NEVER pull there again and I will surely tell everyone I know to avoid this pull in the future...

Re: Barron County truck and tractor pull Rice Lake WI July 22, 2012 02:09AM
Went to the pull. Over charged for entry fees....NEVER got our trophy....one person told us they could not find it the other one said we did not get one.... No one at the scale checking weights and draw bars.

Had one tractor that should never have been in our class allowed to pull, another one way over weight..... Track officials comments were "too bad, we will try better next year." Amazaingly enough, track official is father of the tractor that should not have been allowed in my class. Another tractor we were with could not pull due to tractor malfunction and they refused to give him his entry fee back!!! Plus told him he can pack up his tractor and get out of their town..............good stuff, don't ever do to that pull, unless you want the good ole boy group to RIP YOU OFF!!!

WHAT A CROCK!!! WORST RUN PULL I HAVE SEEN IN A LONG TIME!!!

Re: Barron County truck and tractor pull Rice Lake WI July 22, 2012 04:02AM
Was also at the Barron Co fair pull last night and was very disappointed. The guys that put the pull on just don't get it, its all about them and the Barron Co fair! Very mismanaged starting with the fair board! Things will never change there. Won't be back there again!!

Re: Barron County truck and tractor pull Rice Lake WI July 22, 2012 04:20AM
I drove 2 hours to get to the pull had a great time and pulled in the 9000 class .I will be back next year .The management was great and treated everyone with the respect they deserved! Guess a few didn't deserve any! Just because they don,t have that special little John Deere class there and let comparable tractors of all colors in that class it is no reason to to go crying to Mommy ! Well I guess go ahead and see if she will do anything for you because that is your only option. WHA WHA WHA!!!!!!!!! Great pull and thanks to all involved!

Re: Barron County truck and tractor pull Rice Lake WI July 22, 2012 01:34PM
I drove better then 2.5 hours to pull as I was told that there was good payout and trophies. I placed third and never got my trophy and had to drop due to a breakdown and told too bad you donated that money. So I along with already 12 pullers I spoke to will not return. So enjoy your good ole boy pull next year.

Re: Barron County truck and tractor pull Rice Lake WI July 22, 2012 05:40AM
Let me guess....it was a Schullo run pull again??

Re: Barron County truck and tractor pull Rice Lake WI July 22, 2012 06:23AM
Here's a idea. Take your concerns if they are ( legitimate) and not just a broken heart to the correct personal instead of first bashing the event. Maybe if your concerns are real the next event could be improved and would better suit everyones needs. it takes tons of work, and personal to provide a safe enviorment to have such a event. I would personally like to thank Greg's Excavating for one of the best tracks I've pulled on. There's a huge investment there for our expensive machines to run on. As for the rest of the crew I was treated with respect and I thank you for all of the hard work. The announcer was top notch as well. I don't pull for the money, I pull for the enjoyment of the sport. Please try to enjoy it.......
Not looking for a argument, just think a person needs to give credit were credit is due. Thanks to everyone who provided entertainment for me as well. Some very nice running equipment. KT

Re: Barron County truck and tractor pull Rice Lake WI July 22, 2012 06:42AM
Beaverhunter pulled on Friday night, track was great, appreciated Steve A.'s patience with us arriving late, hope they want Central Truck pullers back again next year, had a great time even though I still came up short of the dirty little secret

Re: Barron County truck and tractor pull Rice Lake WI July 22, 2012 09:37AM
I had the nieghbor drive for me on friday night and he said everything was smooth sailing, well run pull. We went saturday night and didnt have any issues. Had fun, Had beer, Got paid, went well.

Re: Barron County truck and tractor pull Rice Lake WI July 22, 2012 10:25AM
I pulled on Friday night with the Central Truck Pullers. Pull was well run and organized. Track was in good condition and had no complaints. I didn't know who Steve Arnevick was until friday night, and he has the up most respect for the pullers and personaly thanked me for comin. He did a great job along with all of the other people involved in putting the pull together. Thanks to all who helped with the pull. You can't make everyone happy. It is to bad that the negative posts had to come on here and bash everyone. Some things should just be kept to yourself, or brought up at the pull the time of the issue. One of the rules on pulloff are: if you have a negative post about someone, you should put your name there for some credibility. If you have the time to write negative things about someone, you should probably put your name there. Just my thoughts. Thanks for the compliment beaver hunter. Glad to see you got yours together and made it to the pull. Dirty Little Secret-Bill Rice Jr.

Re: Barron County truck and tractor pull Rice Lake WI July 22, 2012 12:01PM
If the pull didn't run smooth, you can't blame that on the staff alone. I've seen where the pullers are not ready to go and that causes delays. While I was there, the pull seemed to be going just fine and yes, the track was in great shape. Thanks to the staff for donating thier personal time to put on the show.

Re: Barron County truck and tractor pull Rice Lake WI July 22, 2012 01:57PM
I pulled on Friday night with the Central Truck Pullers. I think that this Pull is well run and organized. I felt that the Track was in good condition, I had a wild ride and the crew was very helpful getting my busted machine off the track and Steve Arnevick came over and helped me fix the broken axle so I could pull again on Saturday Night being I was stranded in Rice Lake overnight. I would pull there again on Friday Night no questions about that but not on Saturday unless some real changes in rules and staffing as I am very disappointed on how the rules only applied to those out of the local area. And Yes I will tell you I followed the rules to the “T” and I was ready to pull when my class was called but all of sudden at the last minute the pull officials decide to add changes and not inform me until afterwards and allowed pullers to pull even after the class was completed which it was stated at the drivers meeting would not be allowed. I pull circuit and one thing you never do is cheat as it will haunt you at all your future pulls

Re: Barron County truck and tractor pull Rice Lake WI July 22, 2012 02:04PM
That was done last night at the pull and excuses were made and they hme and haw and promised a resolution before the end of the nite and if you read the comments they told us sorry its too bad and if dont like it get out of town

Re: Barron County truck and tractor pull Rice Lake WI July 22, 2012 01:42PM
Yep if you are in there class and you are a threat to them you don't get crap...

I won't waste my time or fuel ever again. They should have had the same crew do both nites as Friday nite was smooth compared to saturday night

I mean really paid $40.00 to hook and payouts were supposed to be $250.00, $125.00 and $75 plus trophies but the then when the payout came it was less and no trophies. I intent to write a letter to the County Board and inform of the conduct of the crew on Saturday. Don't Advertise that you arr paying cash and trophies and change rules and how things are done as you go.

Re: Barron County truck and tractor pull Rice Lake WI July 23, 2012 04:43PM
I understand that ALOT of work goes into putting a pull on and a lot of things come up and happen durning the pull. I get that. I feel that it could have been handled in a better way. I believe that the majority of pullers are understanding and if you just work with them and explain the situation and try your hardest to make it right that this drama could have been avoided.

Re: Barron County truck and tractor pull Rice Lake WI July 23, 2012 05:07PM
Were you the same individual that was witnessed by multiple people yelling and screaming at the ladies registering because you did not get your way on when you pulled, I was informed by many people that someone decided to do this, I will guarante you would be escorted out of other pulls if the same bs happened. I am not pointing fingers but was informed that Someone did this.... If anyone has issues go to a track official and speak with them, not go off on someone that is volunteering there time to do class sign up. Been to that pull for about twenty years and just happened to miss it this year.

Re: Barron County truck and tractor pull Rice Lake WI July 23, 2012 05:34PM
I ran the sled on Sat night for the pull. I am unsure as to what went on with the whole trophy and payout thing.....not my deal....but I can say that the "CLASS" of tractors that hooked were in their classes. You did not see a pro stock mixed in with a super farm. If you scroll to the 1st post it shows what classes there are, and what cube limit/chargers you can have in those classes. I felt the show went smooth because I wasnt waiting 5-10 min for any tractors to hook. They did a good Job at lining them up and making sure the next class was announced. Thanks for a good show Mike Pronschinske "Track Patrol Blue"

Re: Barron County truck and tractor pull Rice Lake WI July 24, 2012 01:43AM
You know what the promoter of the saturday night show should have not said that he had trophies for the top 3 places and payouts for the top 3 places in all the classes. The pullers are coming to put on a quality show and they are the ones eating all the costs which is not right as I paid admission to get into the fair and the stands. I thought the show was a quality show but if the fair wants quality they need to pay good prize money back to these pullers. If someone did not get prize money or trophy or even entry fee returned when they broke down then do the right thing and make it right with them and mail them the check or trophy. If you make a few pullers mad one year and don't resolve the issues you will have at least that many less pullers and probably more that won't come and fans there the next year. Many of these pullers on avg have probably 8-10 people that come to watch their favaorite team. Based on all the comments here it sounds like there at least 5 tractors on this website that are upset. So that is a number of fans that would have paid admission and bought food, drinks etc. THe fair has a quality track and grandstand it would be a sad site to see only a few tractors and fans in the stands.
