ih disk brakes July 18, 2012 05:20PM
I baught a disc brake kit for a ih 706. Discs are 12 an 3/4 inches across with willwood calipers. Wandering how to mount calipers. Seems to me disc are to small ? Or do machine a notch out of tractor brake piston ? Thanks for the help!

If your disks are made to go on your your orgional brake shaft then the 12 3/4 will be pleny large enough. You should be able to make calipers brackets that will bolt where your old brake cover mounted to. I also make brackets to do this as well as entire disk brake kits. If your brakes are make to go out on the axle then yes they are to small.
