Re: what classes in Maquoketa Ia July 24, 2012 04:51AM
Starts at 6 this Friday

Re: what classes in Maquoketa Ia July 24, 2012 10:15AM
can you get a semi and van trailer in there

Re: what classes in Maquoketa Ia July 24, 2012 10:22AM
yes should be able to, about 95% eci pullers have semi's

Re: what classes in Maquoketa Ia July 24, 2012 10:36AM
Is there going to be a million trucks and truck classes again?

Is it going to cost 8 for the fair gate and 10 for the pit gate? kinda hard to convince anyone to help with the tractor when it cost $18 to ride along?

Just curious if it was worth my time to show up?

Re: what classes in Maquoketa Ia July 24, 2012 11:04AM
the brush pulling part will be the same old same old, but if you can fit into a eci class, it will be worth it

Re: what classes in Maquoketa Ia July 24, 2012 11:07AM
not sure what its going to cost to get in, but ya that is overboard

Very Disappointed this year! July 29, 2012 12:55PM
Unfortunately Jackson County fair's Tractor pull was a large disappointment to myself and a few fellow pullers.

- Cost to enter the pull was $10 for the fair and $10 for the pits. Apparently i should have expected this from a previous post i read now.
At leased they did grant one free hook to compensate for my entry to the fair and i paid 20 for my second class.

- Payback was among 3 tractors in a large class. With a $20 gate fee to anyone on pit side and a $10 to fair side i would have to say they better have made some serious money for the fair!

- The grandstand track was not prepped or maintained to any standards. Dry and dusty without any water! No packing equipment just a blade tractor!

I'm sorry to say but this will strongly reflect my return next year!

Enjoyed pulling against all the different iron in the 11000 farm. Tractors we dont normally pull against. Anyone remember who the top three wete were? Pretty sure steffens 10 was 1 st. Not packing the track was know prob with me. South side has always been a speed track anyway.

Re: Very Disappointed this year! July 29, 2012 05:08PM
Also kinda upset with having to pay $10 to get on the grounds and another $10 to get in the pits. Otherwise it was a pretty good show with lots of iron. I'll be back again.

Re: Very Disappointed this year! July 31, 2012 09:15AM
Sorry but if you did the math the free hook took place of the $20 for the first hook. It cost $20 per hook anyway and you can hook twice. When you entered the fairgrounds you paid $20 total to get in the pits to pull and you got that back with your first hook being free. So it wasn't any different then pulling at most other pull in the area.

Re: Very Disappointed this year! July 31, 2012 10:39AM
I think the main point was paying 10 dollars for pit people to get into the fair when there only at the fair to support the tractor pull. Two or three pit crew members per tractor and things start to add up.

Re: Very Disappointed this year! July 31, 2012 02:50PM
THE 10 DOLLARS was so you can drink your own beer dont have to buy theirs, but i think a few rules need to be put in place, v cuts in farm class and a big cube ih putting 100t feet on the rest of the class get a set and pull in class you be long ( I understand you spent a lot building it but you dont come to wisc because you get put in 2hot2 farm), how would you feel if a 640 pro farm or super farm jumped in your eci class

Re: Very Disappointed this year! July 31, 2012 03:26PM
that big cube ih fits rules for its class so i dont see how you are making any point, it goes to two pulls a year because he doesnt care he did want he wanted to do with it. and as for a pro farm and/or super farm coming to eci to pull in the other tractors class, alls i can say is lol read the rules 430 ci limit sorry for your limited reading skills!

Re: Very Disappointed this year! July 31, 2012 03:29PM
I assume u refering to the 1066. Dont know what the distances were in the 13000 farm but prettty sure the 11000 was 6-8 feet between first and second. Surprised how many guys pulled in to slow of a gear on the south track. good pull

Re: Very Disappointed this year! July 31, 2012 03:53PM
mark how can u say anything u hang around with an ex badger state tractor now pullin 2hot2farm and 2 john deeres built by slama pullin in farm classes

Re: Very Disappointed this year! August 01, 2012 03:43AM
the 1466 is not an ex badger state tractor its completely different and the 4255 john deere got beat by 7-8 guys in farm class including steffens. and the 2 john deeres are from our hometown and we arent allowed to associate with them? and the 4010 didnt even win both classes.

Re: Very Disappointed this year! August 01, 2012 11:10AM
haha the two john deeres didnt win there classes bc the serioulsy lack a driver

Re: Very Disappointed this year! August 01, 2012 11:18AM
4010 was 1st and 2nd? dont see lack of driving there. then the 4255 took a 4th in too hot to farm, where it belonged also

Re: Very Disappointed this year! August 01, 2012 02:20PM
hey onlooker i'am a 16 year old and was my second time pulling the tractor, is that okay? Sounds like you're a professional puller maybe you could pull a couple hooks and show me how to?!?

Re: Very Disappointed this year! August 03, 2012 01:06PM
haha ive hooked plenty of times and won plenty of times lol

Re: Very Disappointed this year! August 04, 2012 07:52AM
well how it appears from your name, it seems like you don't even have a pulling tractor and don't worry buddy we've won PLENTY of times.

Re: Very Disappointed this year! August 04, 2012 10:31AM
well ya with 700 plus cubes anyone could im just wondering y u need to go so big r u trying to make up for size problems elsewhere

Re: Very Disappointed this year! August 04, 2012 02:08PM
size problems? the 4010 is no where near 700 cubes theres one tractor in there over 700 ci and thats a gas.. kind of like steffens having a 600+ci in farm class? yeah thats fair. get the facts straight onlooker. get a tractor and prove it on the track

Re: Very Disappointed this year! August 05, 2012 04:14AM
pretty bold statement there.. How about you grow up, we all have to at some point.
