Re: potosi wisconsin pull August 03, 2012 12:46AM
are there any speed limits on 2hot 2 farm

Re: potosi wisconsin pull August 03, 2012 01:27AM
Is there a pull on Friday night?

Re: potosi wisconsin pull August 03, 2012 06:20AM
I heard there was a ss 4x4 class and mod 2wd class. Is there any truth to this? Seems like pulling teeth to get answers.

Re: potosi wisconsin pull August 04, 2012 09:43AM
is 2 hot 2 farm 3000rpm? or is it goin to be like the 2nd class in darlington...lets see who can turn the most rpms and still keep it together.

Re: potosi wisconsin pull August 04, 2012 02:09PM
darlington was just no speed limit. still only allowed 3000rpm

Re: potosi wisconsin pull August 05, 2012 04:14PM
jeremy puting your phone number on here is absolutely worthless if you don't answer or call people back

Re: potosi wisconsin pull August 05, 2012 04:29PM
the guy that called me Friday nite i didn't get ur number so its kinda hard to call back.

Re: potosi wisconsin pull August 06, 2012 01:45AM
What about a 7000- 8000 turbo farm class

Re: potosi wisconsin pull August 06, 2012 01:52AM
the 2nd 2hot2 farm in Darlington was no speed limit and the JD that ran over Rs was Dqd and 2 tractors went over speed were Dqd

Re: potosi wisconsin pull August 06, 2012 01:35PM
hey mark what was up with the 2nd class in darlington? open speed but as soon as the rpm box came off the sled side shields flew off and screws were tuned. i didnt see the 4440 get booted when he was obviously over rpm. is potosi gunna tach 2 hot 2 farm or are they gunna use the box?

Re: potosi wisconsin pull August 07, 2012 02:16PM
just about every tractor in that 2nd class in darlington was over rpms . if you made the speed limit at 15 or 16 mph that would really level the playing field.tach every tractor before and after they pull

Re: potosi wisconsin pull August 06, 2012 08:16AM
if i you can get 4-5 tractors i will have a 800 turbo farm

Re: potosi wisconsin pull August 06, 2012 03:24PM
I would bring one for the 8000 turbo class if it is a go
Just would like to know so i can plan things out ,
People let him know on here if you want a hook there. Fri

Thanks a lot
greg

Re: potosi wisconsin pull Possible 8000 Turbo? August 07, 2012 08:47AM
If the Class was added i'm sure i could get the 4010 from aurthur to come up.

Re: potosi wisconsin pull August 07, 2012 05:29AM
Three years ago I was at your pull. Do you still run it like your runing cattle through a chute or are you giving the puller the respect to be ready and in line.

Re: potosi wisconsin pull August 07, 2012 07:28AM
the 4440 was dqd, I would find a box and you dont pull if you dont have a plug in that works you dont pull, might not be a bad idea in a few other classes

Re: potosi wisconsin pull August 07, 2012 09:01AM
im sure a 80-06 and 4010 will be there for a 8000 turbo class and a ford from crawford county will be the

Re: potosi wisconsin pull August 07, 2012 10:03AM
8500 20.8 tire 3000 rpm lets in a few more

Re: potosi wisconsin pull August 07, 2012 02:11PM
You could have the 8000 turbo class at 10 mph and the 8500 na class at 6 mph. Then the tractors in the na class that run extremely well could run in the turbo class and be competative. Either way it would make both classes more about actually tractor pulling instead of cubic inches.

Re: potosi wisconsin pull August 07, 2012 03:34PM
I would agree about speed limit it would make it even across the board

Is this class goin be to added to the show I know of one that would come if the speed and rpm r the ruled
Thanks
Gary l

Re: potosi wisconsin pull August 07, 2012 11:38PM
I think we should run like nascar. Run a Restrictor Plate. Say like 1.250. This would give your smokers an advantage. My carb has a 1" hole in the ventury. We should make it 3 mph so the antique tractors can come and you can beat up on them. How much crowed do you see at a antique pull. Think about it!

Re: potosi wisconsin pull August 08, 2012 08:55AM
Do i get a senior citizen discount when i sign up? Also can i get to the signup table with my walker with out walking to far or i may fill my diaper and stink a little..I hope it gets over early or i'll be cranky without my nap and mom promised me a jump if i'm not to tired to get a woody. Re: potosi wisconsin pull August 08, 2012 10:54AM

Re: potosi wisconsin pull August 08, 2012 11:09AM
hey fritzy, you have a good point. i bet those bigger antiques could beat alot of us at 7 or 8 mph. this is why alot of people got out of the sport.

Re: potosi wisconsin pull August 08, 2012 02:07PM
2 hot 2 farm people are big winers anyway, never happy. Thats why they would never make it in a bigger class. Darlington added this class to make it fair to the people that actually take their tractors right off the farm. The 2 hot 2 farm class is like having a 6 cyliner mustang with an automatic, they could only DREAM of having something bigger. Put your money where your mouth is.

Re: potosi wisconsin pull August 08, 2012 02:16PM
dton may have started the 2hot2farm class for that reason but look what they did to there farm class this year with no speed limit but then they didnt let a 4455 pull because of it havin a intercooler

Re: potosi wisconsin pull August 08, 2012 02:34PM
Why not a 8000 or 8500 hot turbo class? Give the crowd a show.

Re: potosi wisconsin pull August 08, 2012 03:21PM
I would bring my hot farm up if there was a class like that. Would like to come but not driving 1.5 hrs to not have anything to pull against.

Re: potosi wisconsin pull August 09, 2012 05:06AM
4455 pulled dont go there

Re: potosi wisconsin pull August 09, 2012 05:46AM
observer you sound like a big whiner to me. i guess not every one is as cool as u and cry over the internet. some guys dont have that $50000+ to build that "big" hp you dream of

Re: potosi wisconsin pull August 09, 2012 11:06AM
Hot farm puller bring the tractor up so i got someone to hook against.

Re: potosi wisconsin pull August 09, 2012 01:21PM
50,000 would buy a lot of nice paddles!

Re: potosi wisconsin pull August 09, 2012 10:48PM
We bring our tractors up for a hot farm class Dale Holdgrafer

Re: potosi wisconsin pull August 10, 2012 04:24AM
I am taking mine to see if there is enough for a hot farm class.

Re: potosi wisconsin pull August 11, 2012 12:46AM
What would really help is if there was a set of rules that would cover the state . Getting tired of different rules for where you go just cuz they want there buddies to win.

Re: potosi wisconsin pull August 11, 2012 02:21AM
Would there be anyway you would do something like Darlington did with there 2hot 2farm? One 18mph then one no speed limit but 3000 rpm?

Re: potosi wisconsin pull August 11, 2012 02:11AM
How many hooks are you aloud?

Re: potosi wisconsin pull August 11, 2012 02:40AM
I agree set of rules so every where you go they are the same,my thoughts would be farm stock is farm stock not farm appearing, stock appearing pump in stock location, stock block and manifolds for that make and model,if you run stock cast any tire, pressed steel should be limited, for safety there should be rules on hitches, they should be solid and not move during pull,no adjusting devices should be hook to hitch(turn buckles adjustment bolts hook to hitch pointgoing up,if hitch broke you would be pulling from a higher point), what ever happen to no curved pipes or rain caps on turboed tractors common sense if turbo would explode thru pipe it should exit straight upno deflections, throttles should all have a soild stop at full throttle.2hot 2 farm has got out of hand not enough rules, maybe we need a improved farm for tractors that have been enhanced pump work, different manifolds, bigger cubes, etc.Just a few ideas to think about for this off season

Re: potosi wisconsin pull August 11, 2012 06:03AM
Mark, why add another class? That's always been the problem around this area. One guy spends the money and makes his tractor run better with in the rules at that time. Rather than tighten the rules everyone wants to add another class, all this does is creates confusion for the spectator. I say all the 2hot2 farm guys or whatever you call that class now, needs to get together and set rules then enforce them on everyone. if your in the class and don't fit the rules that are in place then move up but don't start another new class. But I don't have a dog in this fight so who really cares what I think

Re: potosi wisconsin pull August 11, 2012 08:15AM
I agree but ever deal with some farm pullers use it on the farm that way, got pictures hook to farm implements, looks stock, you hear it all, its ok for them to do things but if someone else does look out,and we all in this areaknow what happen a few years ago in Platteville but yet some run over 3000 Rs knowing what could happen, like to go to some of these pulls but would like to go and see everyone pull where and how they should

Re: potosi wisconsin pull August 13, 2012 01:48PM
Your track was hard on my clutch and a few others by the looks of it! And worst of all my cooler was empty when I got home... Must have been a good time. Good pull Jeremy!

Potosi Tractor Pull Results August 15, 2012 04:28AM
Here are the results as to the best I can read from the carbon Copies from the pull. I didn't have a sheet from the gas truck class so i will not be posting their results.

I apologize if i murdered anyone's name. It tends to be difficult to read at times

Re: Potosi Tractor Pull Results August 16, 2012 02:51AM
What was up with the big LP flame back fire out of the IH in the too hot class? And cut tires???

Re: Potosi Tractor Pull Results August 16, 2012 03:46AM
What tractor

Re: Potosi Tractor Pull Results August 16, 2012 06:03AM
What exactly are the rules for too hot to farm? I would think cut tires would be the least of your worries. To say somebody is using propane is a pretty bold statement. I have had a tractor do that and it was on straight diesel, and nothing being injected including water! Seriously, propane. Did you even have a tractor in that class? If so i would have brought up your concerns at the pull not 3days later on a message board!

Re: Potosi Tractor Pull Results August 16, 2012 07:14AM
a diesel may back fire when being started or perhaps with starting fluid but not at the end of the pull on strait diesel.

Re: Potosi Tractor Pull Results August 16, 2012 09:07AM
seen it before dont know what causes it for sure, good pull went through a lot of hooks, alot of different equipment

Re: Potosi Tractor Pull Results August 16, 2012 12:58PM
YOU have no clue go back shop figure it out!!
