Re: Cumberland truck and tractor pull August 25, 2012 12:38PM
The youth hockey association would like to give a big thank you to all the pullers and fans for showing up to their pull. They said it was really awsome to see all that iron. As for my opinion it seems to get better each year. One question they did have, was which weekend would work the best, the one that got rained out (last weekend) or this weekend (rutabaga weekend)? One weekend had a pull in Grantsburg, the other River Falls. Any opinions?

Re: Cumberland truck and tractor pull August 26, 2012 01:03AM
Friday night either weekend we had open last Sat we could have went to 3 other pulls. So in my opinion this weekend was better or have tractors on Friday night and could we get started like at 4 or 5 7 is just to late by the time 8000lbs rolled around it was already 10:30. No one likes to stay up or stay at the pull late.

Re: Cumberland truck and tractor pull August 26, 2012 01:42AM
I agree that Friday night solves crowded weekends and gives us more choices for events we can participate in; but as an event promoter, you cannot start at 5:00 on Friday, most of your audience is still at work. If the show is going to be half over before they get there, do they all still come? It didn't bother me at all to wait for the 8,000 supers, and I had 60 miles to drive home; hope to come back next year, we had a great time.
