what is the formula to figure out cog wheel size. crank 5000 rpm, water injection pump 3400 rpm what size crank cog wheel do i need and what size pump cog wheel do i need? what is the math for this Thanks |

Are you saying that you want the pump to turn 3400 RPM when the engine is turning 5000 RPM? If so any pair that makes the same ratio as 3400/5000 = 0.68
34 driving 50 (34 on crank & 50 on pump) and 17 driving 25 are the only ones that make that exact ratio and keep the pulley sizes reasonable. |

so that works out to a 2.5 dia. drive cog on crank to a 3.5 dia driven cog on water injection pump Thanks |

5000/3400 = 1.47 ,cog wheel on the pump must be 1.47 times bigger than on the motor |
