I was just wondering if some of the pullers are getting tired of the same tractors winning all the time. It just seems to me that if I was in a couple of the classes, and some teams were always winning it would get old and pullers would'nt worry about going to the next pull . I realize that if you are committed , then you have to go, but it would get old driving all that distance to be 3rd or 4th everytime. just seems to me some teams are trying to monopolize and it would be nice as a spectator to see some other tractors win sometimes.

Maybe they're just that good???

Re: The same winners September 11, 2012 12:14PM
Thats what makes no. 3 & 4 step up. Also don't think too many people cry when John Force or people like him win all the time.

Re: The same winners September 11, 2012 01:13PM
In most cases is it just that the others just haven't spent the money or made the changes yet. I hate to see a puller have the rules he has followed and make work to his advantage hurt just because they haven't spent the money or made the right choices YET

Re: The same winners September 11, 2012 02:30PM
maybe they just spend just the right amount of money with the right person ,it goes on in all classes from the old tractors, the farm tractors to the pros. if you want to play you have to pay,,,,,,,,,,fact,,,,,,,,,,,

Re: The same winners September 12, 2012 01:05AM
So in your world how does this work, if I win a lot am I suppose to detune my tractor or should I stay home from a few events or just sell out so that someone else can win?

What about the years that I was getting beat by the same tractor night after night,do I get catch up credits for those years?

Todd, are you going unlimited next year ?

Re: The same winners September 12, 2012 10:28AM
Believe it or not some people compete because it is fun. Not to win but just to be there. You never know when the big dogs will have a rough night. A good example would be Trevor Miller with his D21. Usually finishes in the middle of the pack but because he competed in every pull he is this years points winner for the DSS in Mn.

Re: The same winners September 12, 2012 10:52AM
IT is just like life. Tractor pulls have a few hamburger flippers to fill up the classes to complete the show. What really annoys me is the hamburger flippers that whine about getting beat. Go home and work in the shop improve yourself it is not all about who spends the most. It is simply who puts the effort in to it.If you are not in to being a hamburger flipper do something about it.Don't try to drag everybody back to your level.

hey there big dick September 12, 2012 02:33PM
I was a hamburger flipper that never whined. What really annoys me is that I beat alot of competitors that spent alot of money and can't keep their stuff together and get the rules changed for THEMSELVES because they spent the most! And I also know the world does not revolve around me also!

Trevor and Dick work very hard to make that allis d21 tractor run well. They may be the biggest dog in the fight but they fight hard. They have always been a solid runner and attend all the show that time allows. They are always willing to help other pullers if they have problems also. Trevor was up all night at Hutch to help Doug Theobold switch engines in his 2wd why because he loves tractor pulling thats why!!!!!!

We will likely run the Light Unlimited again but not the heavy. We may run the GN mod class with three engines next season but time will tell.

Tractor pulling is ALL about who spends the most. Maybe not necessarily on equipment, but to influence the politics of the organization so rules are changed/made/ignored to favor themselves. Anybody that says different is living in a fantasy world, smoking crack, or trying to sell something.

Re: The same winners September 13, 2012 02:59PM
Ya got that right moneybags. It's an ATTENTION thing. It's not competition anymore. I think I'll just quit, and the tractor pulling can be one NUMBER less.

This is exactly why I quit showing up, and I'm not the only one. Tired of fighting the clique and the politics. Competing and winning or losing on a level playing field is great, but when officials and board members are in some competitors' pockets and give them special consideration because they bring in sponsorship money or are in business together outside of pulling, it's not a level playing field anymore. It's a money spending competition for the benefit of the entitled. An outsider can't spend enough on or do enough to his tractor to compete with what amounts to plain old corruption and crooked politics.

Trevor and Dick work very hard on there d21 Allis to make it run well. They are not the biggest dog in the fight but they have fun doing it. Also they will help out any puller who needs it. Trevor stayed up all night at hutch to help Doug Theobold replace a motor in his 2wd. Why you may ask because he loves tractor pulling. Two class acts in the pits when the allis is around

Re: The same winners September 13, 2012 11:35PM
Money Bags is dead on, most of the time they are spending Dum Ole Daddies money and dont have a clue on whats going on under the hood, then u get the pullers on the board who change the rules to suit them and the Good Ole Boys ;; bunch a hypocrites and ignorant jacko**s, the guys who build tractors with there welfare checks really are something, , when the same machine wins all the time -- yeah they are cheating , plain + simple
