Massey trans and rear end October 24, 2012 12:22PM
Looking at building a Massey llss and am wondering about the trans. Do you eliminate the multi power or better off to find a tractor that was factory no multi power? Also any problem getting an 1100 series tractor down to 6000lbs?

you need to find a factory 8 speed transmission. hard to find but they are out there. you can get an 1100 down to 6000 but you will need to keep everything as light as possible.

If you want to build a Massey with real results you "must" contact the Prewitt's in Shelbyville, Kentucky. Their tractor is named "can't get it right". Well that is miss leading, because they got it right. They are true sportsman and know how to build a Massey. What them on you tube, they pull KTPA 6000 llss.

Yes our Alky Perkins runs really well, but Aaron Kleckner has a Diesel Perkins that ran really strong this past season, Homework and lots of busted knuckles to get where we both are But it can be done in both Diesel and Alky.
