Thinking about running a light super in a limited class. Ihc 686 chassis with diesel 360. What turbo setup would work good? Can run up to 4 with three pressure stages. I want to be competitive, so that is why I am asking for info. Thanks Morgans for the forum.

I'm running a 3.4 on the motor and a 4.9 on top of that. That set up is running very well for me.

Wow. and you do not have any trouble getting it lit or getting under it? I ran a smaller 312 engine setup years ago and used a 3" Switzer on manifold and a 3.4 t18a-95 on top

No not yet. On real hard pulling track will bring it down alittle but still spins out.

What kind of gear ratio, ring and pinion, and rpms are u running, what weight class??

16.7 to 1, 16 49 ring and pinion we are trying to run 4000 to 4300 down the track. Our weight class is 6100 for diesel and 6000 for alky. If you would like more specfics give me a call sometime. 1 815 739 3602. Craig

I live in Missouri and they have a light super class that follows same rules as 504-505 cu in limit light super but they limit the cu in to 360 or smaller. It is not really a Limited light super as per say. You can run a larger engine but must weigh 5700 lbs instead of 6000 lb.

Stock 400 tractor rods. 140~150 on the motor and waste gating at 60 on low side.

Melvin would this be the MSTPA super class???? Would be nice change of scenery if we could get a few red ones in that class. Also need some green in there. The colors would make a nice class. I hope that is were it's going, they could use the color and numbers.

Seems unsafe to me......unless you are trying to "get rid of" the real hp tractors! It can't be everyone elses fault that you used to small of a motor to start with!

What seems unsafe to you gpopper. I have watched this class for the last 5-6 years and it is a safe fun class. This association always had a cu in limit so I would say it would be everyone else's fault that you built a big motor. I like it and it works. And farmall puller you guessed right on the organization. As far your real hp tractors, I have seen Bryan Bowles hook Haley's Comet and Tyler Dohrman hook the Allis Express all 505 tractors and up until 2 years ago they had Jeff Jacobsmeyer with the Hoffman's old Red Power. .Good class of tractors out there.

That class needs some help. 90% of the time there is only two SS tractors the rest are light 360 ci PS tractors.

Eugene there you go again making your little sarcastic remarks about this association. Let me ask you this. How many true supers do you have in your IAMO ss class or your Twin States ss class. What do you claim your tractors are? Supers or pro's ? I would say your other associations Super Stock classes need help also. Don't you agree? By the way have you swallowed your pride and taken care of that appology yet? I doubt it. We will let mack attack address that issue.

As history shows us if you have a 4 charger tractor and show up at an iamo pull and win three hooks. He will change the rules so only a 2 charger can ran.

You can run anything as long as you make weight. You cannot be component either but other than that I think your legal.

Eugene and Derek are correct on their postings, This is a very competetive class. We have pulled 1-2 Allis 180's diesels with multi turbo's since 2006. Clark, you can run alky and any head. As Eugene noted above, Yes we do need more true supers in the class, we welcome any tractors that fit the class. There are some strong running light pro stocks that fill the class and can win on any given night. I look foreward to meeting you Melvin in the near future. I also hope they bring their buddies that pull in your class (if you even pull) and kick your but.

The SS is 6000 lb for 360 ci and 5700 lb for any thing over 360 ci. The sky is the limit on ci at 5700 lb and no turbo limit. Pay out is not bad in that class. MACK

well Melvin I believe you only got 1 answer to your question. yes clark I agree I would not want to pull it illegally at somebody else's Association. if I remember right we can pull at 5700 pounds. I can make that. what about puller 2000. but Clark we have dual overhead cams. . and what's this talk about being good friends hahaha.... cheater

I am not hiding my name any. Clark Oltmanns, Lincoln, Ill.. I won't come pull because I am overcubed like ihc 686 is. I can't speak for Melvin. And I really should not speak for 686 either. But I could tell you he and I are pretty good friends and neither one of us would want to come over and run illegally if the cube limit is 360. And if the class thinks that is what is best for them, then it is what it is. I don't have a problem with it and I hope it works for them. Thanks for the invite, but I would not want to screw up another associations class because I am illegal for their class.

If I have read correctly we can run with them we just have to be at 5700#.
Is there a minimum movable weight rule. If not sounds like fun to me.
