Ok doug jus called and he needed to move the meeting to December 15 at 10am. Sorry for the mix up.

Re: 2.6 outlaw diesel pickup class November 21, 2012 01:37PM
It should be a 3.0 class.

Re: 2.6 outlaw diesel pickup class November 22, 2012 03:49AM
i always thought the outlaws were thought of as having/wanting nice strong running equipment. Have fun babysitting a bunch of street trucks blowing the rearend apart, front wheels falling off from wheel bearing failing. Should be a 3.0 handsdown. But it dont matter to me, ill bolt a hx60 on my street truck and be right up in the top five. Suggested rule. 158 inch max wheelbase!

Re: 2.6 outlaw diesel pickup class November 21, 2012 12:28PM
What does this mean for nwmtpa?

Re: 2.6 outlaw diesel pickup class November 21, 2012 02:43PM
It would be really nice if this didnt get drug out and get some rules set in stone. Sounds like it will be 2.6 turbo but i have heard a few different things on what size of single tire will be legal to run.

Re: 2.6 outlaw diesel pickup class November 21, 2012 07:02PM
The outlaws have decided that the class will be limited to a single rear tire and wheel to limit the parts breakage. As far as the turbo rule, the turbo rule will match a general rule across country as a general class. We do agree that the rules need to be set in stone with minimal grey area. As we all know that Outlaws don't allow gray areas like some associations, so rules need to be clamped down.

Re: 2.6 outlaw diesel pickup class November 24, 2012 11:26AM
Outlaws don't allow gray area's in their rules. Are you serious???? How many times have things been changed to suit certain people.

Re: 2.6 outlaw diesel pickup class November 24, 2012 11:38AM
It should have a box turbo!

Re: 2.6 outlaw diesel pickup class November 30, 2012 01:38PM
The rules that are going to be proposed are right in line with PPL and other large assoc. We don't want to have a stand alone rule assoc with this. The only rule that has been requested per outlaw is no duals. And I'd say that you will see more and more assoc go to a no dual rule.

Re: 2.6 outlaw diesel pickup class December 11, 2012 09:08AM
What area is this outlaw class going to mainly be scheduled or booked?

Re: 2.6 outlaw diesel pickup class December 11, 2012 10:48AM
It is a secret!
It will be revealed when the new web site starts working.
Ya'all don't git in no hurry, it'll be revealed whin it needs to be.

Re: 2.6 outlaw diesel pickup class December 16, 2012 03:07AM
Did anyone else think yesterday's rules meeting was a joke?

Re: 2.6 outlaw diesel pickup class December 16, 2012 03:55AM
Doug is going to do what is best for the outlaws , pretty sure his mind is made up, like he said if this class goes over good they will add another class.

Re: 2.6 outlaw diesel pickup class December 16, 2012 04:13AM
Don't think anyone was crying, I agree his mind is already made up

Re: 2.6 outlaw diesel pickup class December 16, 2012 04:47AM
Your definition must be different than mine. Cause why did we have to listen to a couple guys for 2hrs complain about singles and saying they wont come if they cant run duals. The tracks outlaw pulls on are good tracks you dont need duals to hook a truck up.

Re: 2.6 outlaw diesel pickup class December 16, 2012 05:01AM
Doug's mind is already made up so this conversation is pointless, I was told the meeting was to discuss the rules and then by a show of hands when asked about dual rear wheels being allowed I think it was only 3 that wanted singles. Regardless glad the outlaws picked up the class and hope it takes off.

Re: 2.6 outlaw diesel pickup class December 16, 2012 04:09AM
The meeting wasnt so you could go cry about the rules it was about seeing how many people are interested in pulling the class with outlaws.

Re: 2.6 outlaw diesel pickup class December 16, 2012 01:33PM
I bet the guys whining will still show up with a single tire.

Re: 2.6 outlaw diesel pickup class December 16, 2012 02:11PM
Yessir, if anyone went thinking the rules would be changed to 3" charger and dual tires, they were wasting their time!
Doug was pretty up front about that and his reasons are valid.
This WILL be a good class.

Re: 2.6 outlaw diesel pickup class December 17, 2012 04:49AM
This class will work, most other organizations are looking for a cure for driveline breakage in the 2.6" class anyway. If the class is a success as it should be, they can add a 3.0" class next year and let them have Cepeks. But, I'm sure someone will always find something to complain about.

Re: 2.6 outlaw diesel pickup class December 17, 2012 06:42AM
What does this do to NWMTPA? Doug has pretty much took away everything they had!

Re: 2.6 outlaw diesel pickup class December 17, 2012 07:08AM
With nwmtpa changing the rules every year so pullers had to spend money to change their trucks that was goin to happen anyway.

That's extremely amusing as the 2.6 pullers are the ones that suggest vote on and implement the rules for their own class.....

Re: 2.6 outlaw diesel pickup class December 17, 2012 08:36AM
What are driveline rules for 2.6 and 3.0 charger trucks?
They don't have a silly 1 ton or smaller rule do they?
Holy crap, with an 8000 weight limit, they should be running SQHD or 20-145 Rockwell rears and FDS78 (or 75) fronts.

2.6" is OEM driveline, 3.0" is ODL.

Re: 2.6 outlaw diesel pickup class December 18, 2012 12:57PM
Well, that pretty much explains that then.
"Saving money" running stock stuff, and paying thru the nose to fix it all the time, or spend the money one time and drive the truck.
Should have a DOT approved, 9" wide, bias ply ONLY single tire rule!!

Re: 2.6 outlaw diesel pickup class December 20, 2012 01:34PM
2.6 puller, you are an idiot, nwmtpa had nothing to do with changing the rules for the 2.6 and 2.8 class, that was all up to the pullers in the class that were at the meeting and voted. If you went to the meeting and voted maybe the rules wouldnt change.

Re: 2.6 outlaw diesel pickup class December 20, 2012 04:00PM
Every year rules have been voted on by the pullers to try and make it so the guys out front cant come back without buying all new parts. One year they allow this then the next year its legal but not something else. Then the next year your back to the same rules as before. But if someone on the board or a tech member works on your stuff you dont have to follow the rules.
