Re: scwtp 466 p- pump meeting November 28, 2012 03:18PM
If this has been decided what is the meeting for? Not being smart just thought the turbo stuff was still up in the air.

Re: scwtp 466 p- pump meeting November 29, 2012 12:48AM
why not a cooler

Re: scwtp 466 p- pump meeting November 29, 2012 01:33AM
We decided at previous meeting it was going to be 3" south bore. The meeting is going to decide what turbo(3"x3") (3"x4") (gt42). We wanted a little time to do some r&d before we made up the final set of rules. There is more than just the turbo to decide as well. As far as the coolers in the class there seemed to be little intrest in it and it sounded that we would have a larger # of pullers without.

Re: scwtp 466 p- pump meeting November 29, 2012 04:58AM
look at orgs around you bstp and isp p pump and cooler and water

Re: scwtp 466 p- pump meeting November 29, 2012 02:47AM
Why not water? Just helps those motors live. You are making a p pump class and a 3x3 or 3x4 limit! I think those tractors are gonna have a little bit of power already. I dont think saying no to water is the way to try to limit them. If anything make it a p pump 3x3 with water- no cooler

Re: scwtp 466 p- pump meeting November 29, 2012 06:12AM
Really, don't you read well? Where does it say anything about no water? They don't want intercoolers, even though that's the best bang for the buck.

Re: scwtp 466 p- pump meeting November 29, 2012 07:58AM
keep the cost down. I would got with a gt 42. they are decent in cost, and you know if it 3x3 percision will make more money. Go with a gt 42 make everyones lives easier. no cooler, but allow water injection.

Re: scwtp 466 p- pump meeting November 29, 2012 09:48AM
I am sorry for not posting all the rules. I just responded to the questions. The class will have water inj. The coolers do make more hp thats no doubt but they also add cost to the puller. Out of all 9 guys at the meeting only one wanted a cooler. Makes for a bad show when you only have one tractor in the class.

Re: scwtp 466 p- pump meeting November 29, 2012 10:15AM
.......woops. Dont know where I got the no water rule. Mustve looked at cooler and thought I saw water. Been a long day. Sounds like a fun class. Glad you guys are allowing the p-pump.

Re: scwtp 466 p- pump meeting November 30, 2012 05:20PM
the dumbest thing you could ever do is run a box gt42 rule. you will open up a can of worms and have no way to police it. ask the outlaw boys they can tell you how well that worked.

Re: scwtp 466 p- pump meeting December 01, 2012 05:49AM
hey Paul, just a thought but why don’t we just not have a turbo rule. no cooler, 3000rpm 3x4 is the most you'll turn (some wont spin that) just my 2 cents but a class with the rules that read 'single turbo charger' of any size might spark quite a bit of interest plus I’ll volunteer to do all the teching! “yep just one under there” good to go… ;-)

Re: scwtp 466 p- pump meeting December 01, 2012 06:48PM
If things are going to be that big why not just pull badgerstate and not mess with a small club. Good luke this class sounds like a fail. Lets see how many of them 9 guys that dont want a cooler pull with 5-6 thousand dollar turbos. They dont want to spend a little to get alot but will spend a lot to get a little, I THINK NOT!!!

Re: scwtp 466 p- pump meeting December 02, 2012 02:26AM
scwtp currently has 2 tractor classes correct ? 1. 466c.i., 2.6" turbo, 3000 rpm, a-pump
2. 640c.i., 3.0" turbo, 3000rpm, p-pump w/coolers ?
now looking to add 2 more? * 3. 466c.i., 3.0" turbo, 3000 rpm p-pump
4. 504c.i. 2750 rpm class

are any of these classes combining? being replaced? if not how many tractors will be in each?

Re: scwtp 466 p- pump meeting December 02, 2012 02:39AM
the 640ci class is getting replaced with the 466ci p-pump class

and ‘just a thought’ clearly you don’t understand the cost of building a big motor (640pro farm) the cost difference in a 466 no cooler single turbo tractor and a 640 intercooled bstp pro farm tractor is at least $30,000 not to mention that they can run port water, dual feed manifolds, double cut tires in pro farm plus everything needs to be much heavier in the driveline because of all the ‘free hp and torque’ from the intercooler

see everybody today

Re: scwtp 466 p- pump meeting December 03, 2012 01:58AM
I think building a 466 is going to be pretty close to same cost as a640 need billit pistons, good crank, cam, head, dont manner to much on cubes all the machine work is still pretty much the same to run good and stay together

Re: scwtp 466 p- pump meeting December 03, 2012 09:14AM
Billet Pistons? I don't think so.

Re: scwtp 466 p- pump meeting December 03, 2012 12:41PM
Jeff thats why most of the NEW tractors are rebuilding throughout the season and when you guys pull with the badger tractors you lack performance on the track . If you build it right the first time you can run the season strong!!

Re: scwtp 466 p- pump meeting December 03, 2012 01:25PM
Were is there any more performance with a billet piston??? Just because your running a "stock" piston doesn't mean its "stock". And for the record Im not running the "best of everything". I make due with what I can afford. Thats funny you use some "XXXXX" screen name chicken sh!t. We put our own stuff together here Im not using the 1-800 methed. And for the record who is rebuilding though out the season???? Wasn't me???

Re: scwtp 466 p- pump meeting December 03, 2012 01:41PM
I take that back give me a set of your "billet pistons" that give me 40 horse and I lets see how they do on the dyno?? If they are the magic trick I will buy them!! Come on Houdini send'em on up lets do it!!!!

Re: scwtp 466 p- pump meeting December 03, 2012 02:09PM
i agree, you don't need billet high dollar pistons to make horsepower, when stock ones do just fine as long as timing, water and fuel are in check...

Re: scwtp 466 p- pump meeting December 03, 2012 02:09PM
'Mark' go to your builder of choice and have them price you a complete 'good' 466 and 640
If them prices are anywhere near the same I would ready like to have his phone number so
I could order my new super farm motor

Thank you in advance!

Re: scwtp 466 p- pump meeting December 03, 2012 03:33PM
Hotsmallblock u crack me up. Where do u pull anyways. I keep thinking somewhere down the line we will cross paths so I get to see just how wild your stuff is. I comend you for doing things your way and on your own. But think about this for a quick second, there might be other people out there just a bit smarter than you or maybe with more experience. You know been there done that kinda folks. And maybe, just maybe they have tried different pistons, yes even billet pistons. And maybe they did gain some HP because of different bowl designs and the ability to try different injectors and maybe because of that the ablilty move timing around ect.... Just saying it is possible. But you probably already knew that being that you've beat all the best running 466 tractors out there. I'm sure your all signed up for Gordyville ready to show us all, right? Well good luck big guy.

Re: scwtp 466 p- pump meeting "to Funny" December 04, 2012 09:03AM
For the record I never once said I beat all the Best running 466 tractors?? I talk alot of Bullsh!t, been drunk a few times but I know I haven't ever said that. I pull with NEW Motorsports in Wisconsin and yes I have pulled with the 466 Badger tractors and sometimes finish in the middle of the pack. I respect Everyone in that class cuz THEY RUN HARD!!!! period. And no I won't be pulling at Gordy this winter I might be down there filling myself with Mount Royal Wiskey, telling lies about what I'm working on in the shop, and eating 4 to 8 of those skinless hotdogs a day, but no my tractors is warm and cozy right at home. Thank You.Thumbs Up

Re: scwtp 466 p- pump meeting "to Funny" December 04, 2012 12:10PM
Jeff,I got the OK from the Case King himself,to drive your tractor.

Re: scwtp 466 p- pump meeting "to Funny" December 04, 2012 12:13PM
Sounds good Pat. I have a few more nuts to tighten this winter and she will be ready to go!!!

Re: scwtp 466 p- pump meeting December 04, 2012 12:39PM
hey Jeff, if u had the balls and one of the best tractors u would have billet pistons teflon coated ceramic top and u would be at gordyville pulling in january. ?????? Why are you not going to be there???? ONLY THE BEST GO TO GORDYVILLE

Re: scwtp 466 p- pump meeting December 04, 2012 01:31AM
Im sorry I struck a nerve I think, but Im thinking most 466s in Badger state are runnin billet pistons, better bowls ,lighter, take the abuse better, and they do prove better on dyno our they wouldnt run them. Im sorry not trying to start any thing just stating facts

Re: scwtp 466 p- pump meeting December 04, 2012 12:25PM
So when the smoke clears from this pissin match are the new rules for this class going to be put up on pulloff?
