turbo oil December 22, 2012 01:06AM
Looking for opinions on having a seperate reservoir for my turbo oil. I've seen some pullers use aviad oil pumps with one section being self contained for just turbo.. any pros or cons, advice??

You will only wonder why you didn't do it sooner after you switch. Our bearing problems went away after we changed HA to a separate reservoir about 15 years ago. We use a 3/4" section on our Aviaid to feed the turbo from a 1 gallon Aviaid tank.

How much oil capacity does that system require? And how often do you change that oil?

What viscosity oil? Would you run lighter weight oil than motor?

60 weight AMSOIL Racing Oil, the same as in the motor.
