If you were starting out fresh with a new engine build for a profarm, superfarm, mod turbo build, would you be better off going with a roller block? Planning on spinning it to 4500+ rpms with a healthy cam. My gas motor experience says yes, but this is my first time spinning a diesel that high. |

Im building one to run 3250 RPM and am going with a roller cam. The key is find a DT block with 468 at the beginning of the number stamped into the block below the intake. They are the best chance of already having rollers. If not then they are already bored big enough to put them in. Thats what I've been told on here....I havent gotten into the tear down of the motor yet. |

How about an engine with serial number 469hm2u1089507. 1830199c1. Is this a roller and a good one? |

If you are close to the motor, take two minutes and pull out the three bolt cover off of the side of the motor that is centered on the block and just below the exhaust manifold. Look inside at the top of the lifters. Takes no time at all, and is the only way to know for sure. |

We have roller lifters that fit both the big bore and small bore IH blocks. We also have a new Steel Billet camshaft for hot farm on up to limited prostock. It reasonably priced at $700.00 for a finish cam. |

I have a couple 466 roller cam engines I'd like to sell. Complete as removed from the truck. PM if interested. |
