turbo install January 27, 2013 03:10PM
Was wondering whats all involved in putting a turbo, plumbing and all from a 4430 on to a 4230 JD. I know it could be
tricky, has anyone ever done it, and what does it take to do it. Thanks.

It all bolts right on,just have to reroute your water a little. pick up pressure oil from side of block,if you have a late model 4020 it has a shelf on the side of block in front of starter to drill and tap to dump turbo oil. have to take off oil pan and flush out when done or if you have an older 4020 just tie in to exaust gas recerculater.

and you will hav to Obama rig a new pipe from your breather to the intake side of the turbo if its going to be used farming or if its a puller dont worry about it, also use a exhaust elbow from a 4320 and cut to length your own pipe between the turbo and exhoust elbow and that will put you closer to your original hole in the hood
