? can the axle and axle housing be swapped from 1070 and put in a 1175 rear to do away with the outboard planitarys and end up with high speed rearend minus a lot of weight and have a 8 speed trans ? thanks |

I would be fairly sure that you would be geared entirely to fast. It's probably easier to start out with a 930-1030-970-1070 trans and rear. I think what you are thinking has been tried but I'm not sure it ended up staying together. Good Luck |

It makes the gear ratio unsustainable. Way to fast start with a normal 8 speed. You can use the 1175 high range gears in place of there low range to get good selection of gears also if you need that. |
