Converting SF to Lim Pro 640-4.1 February 24, 2013 02:17AM
What needs to be changed to convert a good running superfarm 640 to a limited pro 640 - 4.1 besides turbo, manifolds and pump work for more fuel? Cam? Gearing? Head work? Larger injectors and lines? Pump timing? Thanks for your input!

The only 4.1s ntpa had last year were ppl tractors. But to Rick it really doesn't matter how it ran as a superfarm when you double the hp everything changes

Depends on which sf. NTPA or PPL. Know a guy that switched from ppl and jus bolted a 4.1 charger and bigger injectors and turned up the pump and had a lot of success. Idk bout NTPA side. I'm not sayin jus that will get the most power but it can get ya started. Settin up the tractor on the track matters more than havin the most hp in that class.

Not tryin to start anythin but the NTPA pulls that I went to were all NTPA tractors except 1 or 2. Hstpa had Whitney, Brock, boldry, Jerry and Travis wisel, Shepard. Mid south had Brown, LeGrand, mark and clay wells, plus some hstpa pullers, all NTPA sf tractors. The only ppl tractor I kno of that was there was Hartman.
