we have used Precision Plating in Quincy, IL. Good guy to talk to, great work, good pricing, but a little slow turn around time. |

Try Advanced Plating in Nashville, TN (http://www.advancedplating.com/). They are expensive, but their work is excellent. Had some Stemco oil bath hub caps for my reefer trailer chromed by them and their work has survived two hard winters so far running from WI to ME every week. Another competitors plating only last a couple months before it was flaking. Just remember you get what you pay for. |

We had some stuff done in Omaha, NE by industrial plating 3 years ago and still no flaws with it. |

I don't think it's legal to chrome a cage, I believe the chroming process weakens the metal. There are some powder coatings that are very close to chrome though so I assume that is what we are seeing on those shiny cages. |
