Where is best place to get parts/pieces chromed? i.e. crossover pipe. Thanks

we have used Precision Plating in Quincy, IL. Good guy to talk to, great work, good pricing, but a little slow turn around time.

I'll second Precision Plating, good work, good price, delivered when we agreed upon.

Try Advanced Plating in Nashville, TN (http://www.advancedplating.com/). They are expensive, but their work is excellent. Had some Stemco oil bath hub caps for my reefer trailer chromed by them and their work has survived two hard winters so far running from WI to ME every week. Another competitors plating only last a couple months before it was flaking. Just remember you get what you pay for.

Call precision plating in Quincy. Ask for Bill. You won't find any better!

We had some stuff done in Omaha, NE by industrial plating 3 years ago and still no flaws with it.

Does anyone know how much it costs to chrome a roll cage?

Re: Chrome March 13, 2013 02:45AM
I don't think it's legal to chrome a cage, I believe the chroming process weakens the metal. There are some powder coatings that are very close to chrome though so I assume that is what we are seeing on those shiny cages.

John Raymonds cage is chrome on his SS. I know his passes NTPA certification.

The unlimited Uncle Sam has a chrome cage.
