Turbo size March 02, 2013 01:53PM
I have an IH 540. Im running around 3250 RPM's with a Schied built 13mm Model 100 (330-350cc's). Right now I am running a cut 3lm that measures 2.8 intake by 3.0 exhaust, had no problem spinning it with a stock 10mm Model 100 in 12,500lbs class. What im wondering is, would the motor be able to spin a 3x3 charger without getting under it. Im running in High 2nd in class's form 9,500lbs to 11,000lbs.
If you have any opinions, I would love to hear them. Thanks

Can you run a slotted cover? I have a Columbus 3x3 with the right exhaust housing for your 540 that I would sell you for $1000.It is a Holset charger. Hx-60 wheels. Just back from Fair Valley Performance and never bolted on. Was built to be my backup charger, but changed classes. Call or text if you are interested. 608-317-7321

What does a slotted cover do? does it restrict the air flow, to make it easier to spin? And do you think the engine will be able to spin it?
