Does anyone have any information on how much of advantage (weight distribution) the dropped rolled Bull Gear on a 180 Allis has over other tractors weighing 6,500 lb. |

I think you'll find that when you rotate the axles backwards one hole on a 180, the overall length is nearly identical to a 190/200. Even if you have a 190 with a rear end housing prior to s/n 9000 (they called that the "A" housing) with the small 2 3/4" axles and narrow bull gears, I'd guess the 180 would still be 100-150 pounds lighter in total weight. That is weight that you can put on the front if needed. The engine, side frames and torque housing are the same between the two models, as are the internals of the trans and ring & pinion/differential area. Only real weight difference is in the rear end/final drive axle housings. |
