Which spools up easier, a turbo with a slotted cover or a smooth bore, and which makes more power and as a percentage , how much?
Also in a 4.1 or bigger which makes spools up easier a 7 blade or a 8 blade compressor wheel, and typically which makes more power,

A smooth bore will spool easier if your talking about the same turbo because its pulling less air and a 8 blade will spool easier than the 7 if your set up is good the 7 wiil make more power if you can keep it spooled

Your questions have different answers depending on your setup. He's my general take on things (only experanced with 3" chargers tho)
Big cube motors like slots,
smooth bore turbos will 'lug' better
Not many people building 8 blade wheels. 6 and 7 seems to be the prefer blade counts
