most pulls these days are going to an open class if there isnt a sanctioned class booked, other wise its starting to get very hard to police everything with out going through every truck to make it fair if your going to label it a "stock" or "street" class....we ran an open and stock class last year at the pull i help promote open went off without a hitch, stock had everyone mad and complaining that it wasnt fair... |

Thanks, Thats what seems to be the problem there is no such thing as a stock truck, and street trucks are really hot, so is the only way to make everyone happy is to have 10 classes of diesel 4X4's. This gets about 2 trucks in each class, nobody wants to watch that, What do you call stock? |

It's really hard to have rules that can be enforced. The only way I've seen it done is to have a rule of "no smoke, no stacks, no exceptions" |

yah that will work for 1 year then no one will be back next year, including spectators and this what pays the bills, ive seen clubs that have one class that almost lets in everyone, does this work? if there is a 3.0 truck running against a stock appearing truck is it a blow out or can hitch height be changed to compensate. Then there is the issue of water injection. Does it help that much? |

Must be driven to pull, be licensed, and have proof of insurance. no traction bars and no suspension stops other then factory. must pull off of reciever hitch. no front weight brackets. |

We called "stock" stock turbo, no dual injection pumps or p pumps no weights driven into pull licensed insured at least an inch of travel in rear suspension had a couple guys with traction bars but it didn't seem to make a difference |

It'd be hard to not allow P pumps on the 94-98 P7100 equipped Dodges. |

check out Full Pull Productions rule book. this year they came out with a work stock class. they are a top notch producer and have put together a nice simple set of rules for their street stock class. |

Better yet, SANCTION with them!
The headaches of trying to come up with your own local rules will burn you out BEFORE the event starts! |

As a promoter i care if the fans and the pullers all come back, They both pay the bills and make the show go on |

Where is the pull? 2.6 is by far the biggest class out there.
It all depends on if you want to have a big competitive class that puts on a good show or a "good old boys" class that makes a couple of the local guys look good because the rules are skewed in their favor. Chris Watson Watson Motorsports Batavia, OH |
