MM/Oliver/White rearends

Looking for some information on MM/Oliver/White rearends from the larger 55 series Olivers thru the White 160. What is the same as what and what will interchange with what? For example, is a 2255 the same as a G1000, and are they the same as a 2-135? Or a 2-105 vs a 1855? Thanks for any input. |
Re: MM/Oliver/White rearends

17/18/1955, 2-85/88, 2-105/110, G955 all very similar. G1355, 2255, 2-150 also similar, but use outboard planetary final drives. 2-135/155/180 is a bigger, heavy duty chassis that was used in the 160/185, 170/195 tractors. Also the Deutz Allis 9100 series tractors. What exactly are your intentions? may be an easier way to answer. Lol! |

That is exactly the information I was looking for, sir. Thank you very much. If you will please excuse my being cryptic with regard to my intentions, I am giving consideration to building a hot farm puller out of one of the aforementioned family of tractors and am unsure of how best to proceed to get the best possible combination while satisfying certain "stock appearing" criteria within the rules. Would you be willing to answer further questions via pm? |

you can pm me, I'll try to answer, although I do not know everything. |

A 1755 ,1800 1855 can handle anything a hot farm can through at it with lots of factory gear selections includin gears from 135 and 160s that will work in them throw low range away and flip a high range up side down change centers and get lots of ratios |

I would be most interested in knowing more about this. Please elaborate. |

factory road gear is a 28 to 1 with slow ring and pinion 26 with fast h range is 34 over 32 flip it put it in low range for slower 105 has a swower road gear but has a faster high range 35 over 31 oliver has an optional fast road gear with stock conbinations you can have 30 28 26 24 22 19 ratios you take 5th out and replace with a diferent road gear to have 4 gears close together call Brad at Mabock tractor he has every thig you need |

There were different options for the transmissions, your best bet is to take the serial number and go to the AGCO parts site (Google it) and enter as a guest. It will not be easy to decipher but you should be able to figure it out. |

Just curios

How about a 1950? How light could I get it with a 310 Waukesha in it? |

1800 Oliver rear is about as light as you can get for the bigger Olivers....Then put the short axle housings on it....I think they were 1855...It has been awhile, but there are long and short ones. Dan Dunham |
Re: MM/Oliver/White rearends

1755 has the short axle, 1855 has the longer axle |

Well 5.9 is already 100 cubes less than a 466. Thats if they are still 466 not 540 or more. JD guys can have 404 or 466 in them. Not saying with a little work the 5.9 could be competative. Just a thought. |

something different
|
I'm thinking about a 1755 chassis with a 5.9 Cummins. How light could I get that and how would it do against 4010/4020's and similar? I think a few of them have a 466 in them. |

359 cubes vs 466 cubes you are a dreamer!!! There is no replacement for displacement on top of the cummins head sucks. |

Tell that to one of the top llss tractors in the country GO drive a bus with a 5.9 then one with a 466 but dont look under the hood 466s are sevetys tech now theres a new world order corn pickers are just about gone |
Re: MM/Oliver/White rearends

I had a 2-105 with the Perkins, over/under and cast tub. Weight was 6900 with driver, no hyd, or PTO. |
Re: MM/Oliver/White rearends

a 5.9
|
Won't hold a candle to a dt466. Technology is technology it applies to both the same |

binder man
|
If a binder is seventys technology a cummins must be sixtys technology. 5.9 would compare more to a 361. Where is there a lss class with a 466 limit? Most of them I have ever seen are a 410 limit. |
Re: MM/Oliver/White rearends
|
huh?????
|
what rock have you been under? almost all the lss classes are 504 limit? ntpa outlaws ppl and almost every club i know of has a 504 limit for lss. so i guess your opinion and "knowledge" is of little value. |

Its bad when a little 460 IH with 310 cubes KICKSthe crap out of those 470 cube diesle and a 5.9 with the junk head beats them all and even worse a massey with a perkins in it the head is so bad down at the farm ive got one i use for a mouse trap ive got the valves out i stick a piece of cheese in the intake the mouse goes in and cant get back out a couple rats live in a 466 head junked laying beside it put the pressure to anything and it will run they pack a stick of dynomite tight |

If the right person gets ahold of the 470 diesel the 5.9 and the perkins are old news. |

Just a tought if a 5.9 is so great and cubes do not matter. Why is Esdon, Brain, Jody, Hans,John Jim, and every other puller on the ntpa circuit not running one??? |
