Need advice on John Deere motor May 01, 2017 03:02PM
Hello all I'm hoping someone can help me I have a John Deere 3020 gas engine that is shot Im having a hard time finding a motor for it is there another piece of equipment that has the same motor or does anyone know anyone or a place that would have a motor any advice would be very helpful thanks

Not sure where you are located but you can try Hill T, they are local to me (SW Ohio) and I've bought several items from them over the years. They have a salvage yard as well as repair shop.

Or you can try Shoup, All State Ag, Abilene Machine, etc.

I'm in central jersey and I was hoping to find a complete motor to just put it

Head over to yesterday's tractors and check out the link, neat little project.

3020 engine swap

3020 engines are getting tougher to find. Only other thing that used them that I know of was 500 and 510 loader/backhoes and maybe one of the smaller log skidders

Try green spring tractor in Pennsylvania. In Ohio, Anderson tractor or Dengler tractor or Wilson farms.
