4020 john deere 466/turbo fit

I've installed a 466 out of a 7720 combine in my 4020. I purchased after market parts to make the engine the correct length and they work great. The engine runs great in the tractor. My only issue is the hood fitting correctly, it is touching the turbo in two spots causing damaged to the paint job and deformation. Is there another turbo/ exhaust housing that will help, or a better exhaust manifold, or both. Thanks in advance for any help. |

Put in angled spacer between manifold and turbo. It will put it closer to the valve cover |

Do you know of someone who builds those or is that something I need to try to fabricate. Thanks |

Any engine builder should know where to get one. Got ours from Joe Busch, Boone, Iowa. I've seen them on here. |

What are you running for a manifold, we have been building wedge plates for all of the turbos that we install on the old John Deere.I usually
keep several on hand depending on the turbo and manifold set up. |

It is the stock manifold from the 7720 combine, it's a late model 466 serial #. I'm guessing 50/55 series. Not sure on the turbo, I believe it's a sweitzer, I'll be pulling the hood off this weekend and I'll know for sure. Thanks for your help. |
