JD 5010 hydraulic filter delete?

Installing tie bars on a 5010 and this hydraulic filter on the left side of the transmission is in the way.
I have to keep the hydraulics on the tractor for steering. What is the proper way of moving or deleting this filter from the system? This is only used as a pulling tractor, no field work. Chris Watson Watson Motorsports Batavia, OH |

I would have done that but these are partially pre fabricated by Haslag.
I think I'll just make a filter bypass plate on the filter housing.. Chris Watson Watson Motorsports Batavia, OH |

Hey Chris... We just made a plate for the filter housing. Then ran a hose from the plate to the top feed of the rearend. Chris... If you want a picture of it I can send it too your phone. Chris Weidinger |
