Wanting to remove oil cooler from 310 turbo diesel to clear steering shaft in 88. Looks like inside at block there are three ports, one farthest foreword is a oil pressure hole that fed factory oil filter. My question is the rear two that went thru heat exchanger, can they be blocked off or do they need tied together so engine gets proper oil flow? I don't have a manual that shows flow path so any help is appreciated, thanks!
