Holset turbo housings wh1e April 28, 2018 11:42AM
I have a holset turbo off an 8.3 Cummins. Does anyone know if an exhaust housing will fit on it? Or if there are tighter housings? Mine will not start building boost until late in rpm. Engine displacement is around 300 cubes. Mine is wastegated. Thanks in advanced.

I ran a h1e with a 35 ex (I think) on a 301 allis 4200 rpm down to 2700 with no problems , no waste gate !

Maybe then I am just needing more fuel.. I have not put it on the Dyno yet, just a stone boat. Less smoke, just can't go up a gear or anything.

35 exhaust housing ? What's the waste gate set at ? I had a p pump and 400 cc fuel at 90 psi fuel pressure . When we ran the roosa on a d21 when two holly black pumps feeding it and that was a 450 head rosa . Trying to remember boost think we were around low 40s, we had good injectors too 4 hole 24s I think ? Mine came off an L10 cummins I was told .

Could you elaborate on the 35ex please?

I was wondering if you were using an hx35 exhaust housing or something different that I've not heard of.

I am running a stock 856 pump on it. Wastegate is held shut at the moment.
