WHERE'S THE 8000 # TRACTOR CLASS? THATS THE ONLY REASON THAT I COME TO WATCH THIS PULL

Re: Loyal Corn Festival Truck and Tractor Pull - Aug. 24th August 13, 2013 12:49AM
Check the website, its there!!

Re: Loyal Corn Festival Truck and Tractor Pull - Aug. 24th August 13, 2013 12:52AM
The 8000# tractor class has been bumped up to 9000# in order to allow some more tractors into the class. You should still see the same tractors you've seen in the past, but the additional weight allowed us to open it up to some Super Farm pullers.

Re: Loyal Corn Festival Truck and Tractor Pull - Aug. 24th August 13, 2013 03:58PM
How in the heck does it even make sense to make a 466 cubic inch run against a 640 cubic inch? The Super Farms are giving up what 300#? and the Central Pullers have to add 1000#. I hear that some think that the Central tractors have more power!

I wonder what they are smoking or drinking as the average tractor maybe is making 1100 hp. And most of the Super Farms make around 1500 hp based on what the dyno guys are saying. So the old saying there is no replacement for displacement goes hand and hand. So now that the local NTPA super farms can come to clean house how many other pulls will go this route? Some day when there is no pullers coming to their pull they will wish that they did not make such a choice.

It is sad day that a circuit hook now turns into a brush pull because of this. I feel sorry for the guys and gals that run in the Central class as they will most likely go home with empty pockets because of this last minute change that the organization was not even aware of. The promoter promised at the there meeting that it would be either 800# or 8500# not 9000#

A disappointed sponsor of one the tractors in this class that is very upset with this event.

Re: Loyal Corn Festival Truck and Tractor Pull - Aug. 24th August 13, 2013 06:00PM
To the smoker sponser I pull a super farm tractor I've never pulled at loyal and most likely never will. There are a few things about your post that are not accurate. First most ntpa legal super farms are in the 1250 to 1350 hp range not 1500 I know this because my tractor has been on the dyno and is competitive. I have no idea how much power a central 466 has but I know a good running 466 can beat a super farm it has happened to me more than once. Just a couple weeks ago at a houston minn tri state pull a 466 tractor put 24.5 tires on and won the suiper farm class beating 7 other good super farms check thier website if you don't think it's possible. And that 466 tractor has no innercooler and a 3x3 not a 3x4 turbo, 2 things that make hp that central tractors have and ntpa super farms don't. I think the central tractors schould compete well aginst superfarm tractors I hear they have some strong running tractors but sometimes they can be a little short on numbers if a few other tractors show up to make a better show thats good for the class and the promoter. Now I don't have any idea what was said at the meeting but that is between the promoters and central pullers not us out here on the web. As pullers or promoters we need to work together to put on a good show or we loose the fans and if we loose them there's no need for us.

Re: Loyal Corn Festival Truck and Tractor Pull - Aug. 24th August 13, 2013 11:46PM
If the drivers in the 8000# Central tractor class thought they could compete with the likes of the Super Farm Tractors, don't you think they would run that class regularly? The general public will not know or understand that the Loyal pull made these pullers add 1000# that they likely should not be adding and make them run against a bigger horsepower and more torque set of pullers.....so when these good running tractors are beat, the public thinks somehow they don't have the power?? I personally will be spreading the word what Loyal has decided to do as I think it is unfair and wrecks a good class. What should have happened was another class for 9000# Super Farm Tractors should have been added..........oh, but wait, then Loos with Black Stallion would have had to pull with himself, because from what I am hearing, he is why this class was changed!

Re: Loyal Corn Festival Truck and Tractor Pull - Aug. 24th August 14, 2013 02:22AM
It's not the HP that is the issue. According to the Central Guidelines all superfarm tractors fit our rules perfectly, and are always welcome at our pulls @ 8000lbs. I wish they could pull with us more often. Superfarm is an excellent class and most pullers in superfarm have went the extra mile and spent the extra money and time to make them very competitive and usually place very well at our pulls. The weight doesn't change at any other sanctioned event, That's the issue. Now with all that said: Lets go to Loyal, Put on a really good show, and have some FUN.

Re: Loyal Corn Festival Truck and Tractor Pull - Aug. 24th August 14, 2013 04:51AM
As the old saying goes, "If its not broken don't fix it" CTP puts on a good show everywhere and always runs 8000lbs. So run two classes if you have to but allow the same show that Loyal has always had to continue.

The Allis is on fire, nice work Roff
