301 head valves with more fuel May 16, 2020 09:37AM
Im helping a friend with a 180 Allis 301 diesel, we are thinking of a 450 pump head on the Roosamaster and a turbo to match it, looking for advise on what needs to be done to the head, will Allis valves hold up to 450 cc,s of fuel and a good flame , ? Got a stock head that i want to work with , just need adive , and thanks

If you put flame out the stack the 301 head will not hold up , stay under 1400 degrees and it will live use water inj if you can if not need more fuel ! What size turbo what rpm need more info to help what cam grind ect .
