Found a used Oberg 600, website says 20 GPM. Is this big enough? It's in a 5.9 Cummins.

Why not just buy an 8 incher and not worry about it?

I don't think screen filters work very good I always had fine scratches on the bearings and journels changed to wix full flow raceing filters and the problem went away

Is there anyone out there using System One filters on 400 series IH or John Deere engines?

Have System 1 filters on 3 400 series IH's as well as 3 blown Chevy's.

Allen, what would you reccomend on a 400 series stock truck oil pump (which is supposed to flow more than the ag)?

Are you using this on a 5.9 Cummins? Is this a spin on replacement or a remote mount? Thanks

Re: External oil filter? August 27, 2013 12:53AM
[www.system1filters.com] they make one for 5.9 cummins. I recommend getting one with bypass blocked off. and a screen large enough to flow heavy weight oil, and I think most pulling engines run at least 50 weight oil

You can buy a JD remote filter base for an excavator for about $350 new and use a JD filter which will flow about 30gpm.
