Bush Flat Nationals in Ithaca Sept. 14 @ 10am September 01, 2013 11:33AM
The annual Bush Flat Nationals in Ithaca Wi. will be held on Saturday September 14th starting at 10am. This annual event is held on blacktop with proceeds going to the Ithaca/Weston wrestling program, Ridge and Valley Renegade snowmobile club, and Walk With Grace. We will have the following classes: Antique; 4000, 4500, 5000, 5250 Powder Puff, 5500, 6000 Local Trophy; 4000, 5000, 6000, 6000 Powder Puff, 7000, 11,500 Super Farm; 6000, 6500 Farm; 6500, 8500, 9000, 11,500, 12,500, 13,500, 15,000 Too Hot To Farm 5500, 6000, 8000, 8500, 12,000. The King Of The Hill class will be 8250 Too Hot To Farm. The local trophy classes will be awarded 3 place trophies while all other classes will receive 1st place trophy and 75% payback. All classes will have a $20 entry except local trophy is $10. Hope to see you at the Bush Flat Nationals where everyone can have fun while supporting great local charities. We have had calls on the class order. We plan to start with 4000 antique then 8000 too hot to farm followed by 4000 trophy and 8500 farm. We will be bouncing around between all groups of tractors throughout the day ending with 8250 too hot to farm king of the hill.

Are you going to allow a turbo-gas tractor in either the 6,000 6,500 Super Farm or the 5,500 6,000 Too Hot To Farm classes? If so, what will be the pace? Thanks.

Yes you can run the 6000 and 6500 superfarm classes, the pace is 5MPH. Look forward to seeing you Saturday.

Great weather to come out to see the kids pulling tractors our future pullers and alot allis Chalmers Wc WD and 45 TRACTORS

This many classes with no real order in mind? The Durst club classes mixed with the Durst family classes? Sounds like a cluster f#+k.

I haven't seen anyone bashing the retreat pull. This is a great local pull that allows alot of kids to pull. We should be doing this for fun. Hope the weather is good.

It's not a comparison. But, if you want... Retreat will be 2 days. With 2 tracks. As a promoter for Ithaca, i. Would of split them somehow. Bl Antiques and locals in the am, bl farm and heavy local farm later. Why make people sit there all Day. Especially members. or, run all bl classes then locals can play. And the members that want to pull can stay.

This is NOT a bash on the club. This is a suggestion that could help the pull become better. People may not come cause they can't stay all Day waiting to pull.

Any antique puller that would like to pull in Retreat and then pull in Boaz the next day are welcome to stay over night in Retreat. Also I hope the guys in Boaz would be nice enough to run the heavy farms 1st so they can pull in Retreat in the evening. We pulled at a few of your pulls this year so I hope some of you could make the trip over to Retreat.

The top 4 tractors from the 12000 & 13000 farm classes will be hooked @ 12500lbs and the winner of this class will win $500.


We will also be pulling a 9000lb open farm class on Friday night for anyone that can't make it Saturday. There will also be a 8500 & 9000 open farm on Saturday.

OLDMH, sorry I didn't see your post until I got home from the tractor pull. We had an awesome day for everyone. Great weather, pullers, spectators, and local support. We finally finished with approximately 150 hooks. Lots of smiles from many of the local kids and all pules who won prize money and trophies. Thanks to everyone for coming out to support our pull and having fun.
