Pulling and Covid in 2021 May 06, 2021 01:47PM
Most pulling groups have normal-looking schedules, but I'm not convinced all scheduled pulls in all states will happen.

For example, in Michigan the PPL Champions Tour Watson Diesel pull in July was cancelled. Does the State of Michigan have any limits on size of outdoor gatherings? (NTPA has pulls scheduled in Michigan).

While places like Iowa, Missouri, and Tennessee should be fine, are there any limits in heavy pulling states like Illinois, Wisconsin, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New York?
What about cities? For example, even if Ohio possibly has no statewide limits, what about localities like Bowling Green?

NOTE- While it's easy to talk about reasons why some states are more open, this whole thread would then break down from pulling-related to politics. I'm not asking about the why and who's responsible for any limits, just if there are any, what are they?

Thanks in advance for your cooperation. If someone wants to discuss the whys and whos of state or municipal-mandated limits, the Off Topic forum is just the place for that
.

Wisconsin in wide open. Some counties like Dane County (Madison Area) have some stricter restrictions though.

-In PA Pocono NASCAR has been reported to be at 100% capacity in June
-In Ohio, NFL HOF game in Canton 2 weeks prior to BG is slated for 100% capacity.
- In New York its been reported that the 18-day State Fair will be at 50% capacity.
-Illinois is supposed to go to phase 5 (fully open) on June 11th.

The above information should offer a glimpse of where we should be this summer

Let's. Go. Pulling.

In wonderful New York, horse and auto racing venues can allow fans at 20% capacity as of April 22. Beginning May 19th, large-scale outdoor event venues, including professional and collegiate sports, can increase capacity to 33%. Hopefully some of the events planned here this summer can hang in there.

Our first in 2021 June 5. The LLSS class in Badger State with 3 other classes will be free . This pull is in Leaf River , IL. The reason behind this is to give everyone a chance to watch with being locked down for a year and a half of outdoor events .

Does Illinois have crowd limits in place?

Jay , Illinois is at half capacity on events. But today on the radio our governor said we're into phase 5 by June 12 with everything open with mask yet

Purely an anecdotal situation for here in MI, but I have seen one event go down not because of crowd limits, but because the county denied the food vendor license and the state refused to issue the short-term use liquor license to sell beer for the weekend. Those 2 things spiked it.

As of yesterday MN is open 100% after May 28th and the mask mandate will be eliminated by no later than July 1st. Could be earlier. I see a full season of pulling in MN.
