Wtpa/Region 3 Numbers
|
Concerned
|
Just returned home from ellsworth and was disappointed not in the show but the lack of numbers in some of the classes specifically lss only 4 where is everybody also super farm this was a region 3 where they should have good numbers I hate to see what just a state hook might look like. I hope this isn't the beginning of the end. |

Mark should be out soon just in a different class. As far as his old tractor, The Bomb, there are plans for it to eventually hit the track. It's just not on top of the priority list. Brent Yaron Hooked Up Pulling Productions hookeduppullingproductions@gmail.com |

PPL Member States Mid South only had 2 LSS on Friday and 1 on Saturday. OSTPA had 5 HSS. Lack of numbers in SS classes is affecting everyone. |

I saw there were classes with 4 vehicles. Langford NY now cancelled. PPL having great numbers at CT events. This could well be the beginning of the end for NTPA. |

Own worst enemy
|
Local pullers have decided instead of supporting pulls close to home they would rather travel far from home. The pullers are there own worst enemy. Sooner or later this will catch up with the guys who don't look ahead. |

Really?
Who and how many vacated to go to a far away pull? Why shouldn't a puller level up? Is it a lack of loyalty if they do or a deeper issue the local event/tour hasn't fulfilled for them? If none of those issues exist, why hold someone back from chasing their dreams of success on a higher circuit? Should the local promoter coordinate class options to make it all work? Are pullers lacking foresight by not supporting the local event or exercising it by attending something they foresee as having longevity? Are you pissed you didn't get to see someone you wanted to? I'm really unclear about what you are trying to say here. CP |

Let's put some things out there. Farley, IA and Baraboo, WI were going on which pulled some competitors away. Another thing to add is the amount of parts that are on hold which in turn is preventing pullers getting to the track. Some classes were down, but you take away the two things I mentioned and there are plenty more who would have been there. The Light Super Stock class currently has 8 members who signed up for points and that's not including Spiegelberg's and Wettleson who play when they can. Also, there are two tractors not signed up that are getting redone.
Super Farms have been a class that have been losing numbers over the last few years due to the popularity of the Limited Pro class in the region. Rohde's are sitting out this year, two tractors in Wisconsin that aren't together yet, and a handful of tractors from MN who just didn't make the trip. 11 in the class is just fine. Again, some numbers were down, but it was still a good show overall. It got done at a decent time and was a good show! State events will be just fine this year. There are currently 75 vehicles signed up for points and up to 20-25 to still join or at least pull regularly. Brent Yaron Hooked Up Pulling Productions hookeduppullingproductions@gmail.com |
