VT boys??? March 04, 2009 04:34AM
Whats this i here you guys are buildin a deere for the small classes like 5500 pounds and up. Is this true

Re: VT boys??? March 04, 2009 07:28AM
I'm one of the VT boys, nothing that light coming out of my camp, but yes I do think that would be a great idea. I'm quite sure I'll have my hands full keeping the one and a half tractors I own running, along with a third one that I maintain, and the many others that I get my nose involved in. Could you imagine somewhere around a thousand horsepower at 5500 lbs, gut feeling that may be difficult to keep between the lines, but yes it would be an awsome ride regardless. I doubt there is a tractor out there that could even get that light with a six cylinder engine, maybe like a 3010, but the rear I doubt would hold up. Anyway there is a Farmall 560 in a VT camp somewhere that will be stout or shoul I say is stout, would have to make sure I really do my homework to beat that one.

Re: VT boys??? March 04, 2009 09:44AM
you are wrong cheif6030 i saw it with my own eyes. 4EVERRED saw it too just ask him.

Re: VT boys??? March 04, 2009 10:34AM
well boys, I know for a fact there is a 560 running around up there thats some where around 1000hp, heard hes hard to beat!!!, Chief6030 are you out of the same camp with the boys that came rollin into the wheel days pull in Ny to play in the mud with us? if you are you guys got some good running equipment if I remember rite I belive there was two 4430s, a 4230, and a 6030 on that trailer from VT.....sure would like to see green in 5500 and screaming past that AC junk

Re: VT boys??? March 04, 2009 10:56AM
There is a 560 up in vermont that runs real good but it isnt any 1000 hp. Maybe somewhere between 500 and 600. I would love to see a 560 rear end hold up to 1000 hp. They broke stock talk about putting that kind of hp to it.

Re: VT boys??? March 04, 2009 11:06AM
orange junk? if memory serves me correct orange has been on top the past few years on the Grand national circuit, none of that green garbage. From what i hear that xt isn't gonna have a 301 in it no more, heard its gonna have a 426 punched out to 540, prob gonna be just as sick as Haneys that runs down south

Re: VT boys??? March 04, 2009 11:11AM
didn't take long to get you panties in a wad did it kiltsy

Re: VT boys??? March 04, 2009 11:15AM
who is it bailey ?

Re: VT boys??? March 04, 2009 03:13PM
I believe I had heard that the grand national champion that you speak of what thrown out for 5years, thought I heard that somewhere along the line, anyway while you got that pumpkin apart you ought to concentrate more on traction, this year you got some stiff competition coming your way.........

Re: VT boys??? March 05, 2009 05:15AM
yea thank you caption obvious, oh yea ! i beleive it when i see it

Re: VT boys??? March 05, 2009 05:34AM
hey baily, new penn is gonna run a 6500 and 7500 hot stock turbo class at plainfield sussex and maybe kempton so the more tractores we get for that class the better, they gotta have tie bars, roll bar, air shut offs, and a blanket, i think maybe a wide front end too idk have to call wayne for sure on thatt one but hopefuly that class will get some more tractors over the next year or two so they keep running it

Re: VT boys??? March 05, 2009 05:55AM
darren were out of new york we have all that is required know the vanboys and would like to be posted on them pulls for 6500 7500 pounds classes

Re: VT boys??? March 05, 2009 07:47AM
are the vanboys the vt boys?

Re: VT boys??? March 05, 2009 12:39PM
the association i run with is www.ptpapullers.com they deal with PA and NJ pulls they have a rough schedual up on there of when their pulls are, there are also some other pulls i go to that arn't on there a few in nj and a few in pa but most of them have a 6500 and 7500 "hot stock" same as the NY enhanced classes

Re: VT boys??? March 04, 2009 12:09PM
Sure am, they runs alright, would like it if I wasn't working on them all the time, but I suppose if you don't want to work on them you should find another hobby.

Re: VT boys??? -code man March 04, 2009 01:36PM
Code man, from what I have gathered the Addison boys are planning on doing a transplant of a big cube 466 motor into a 3010 back half. I heard it was former light alky tractor and the gears are all taller than road gear. Aluminum frame rails, rack and pinion steering, and all the goodies. I imagine if they can get the tires to hook up, the little fords and allis's are going to be a little upset with the results. Stan might be fillin his britches on the ol' adirondack warship.

Re: VT boys??? -code man March 05, 2009 12:21AM
that just a little ford will be hard to beat the heart is bran new and shes got some new stuff to keep her on top

Re: VT boys??? -code man March 05, 2009 12:30AM
rumor has it there is an off color one that will be out late season 5500 lbs., 6 cyl. running on a renewable fuel.and from what i hear the drive train is capable of taking it.

Re: VT boys??? -code man March 05, 2009 12:34AM
don't think it'll beat the blue

Re: VT boys??? -code man March 05, 2009 10:54PM
Are you Vt. guys thinking about going to any NY. pulls this year? like boonville, frankfort, brookfield, or fonda?

Re: VT boys??? -code man March 06, 2009 01:27AM
The more pullin the better, I like booneville, and brookfield. Fonda needs to get their act together they have like 7500 and 9500 enhanced then go right to an open enhanced class. There are a lot of tractors out there that would benefit from like and 11,000 and 13,000 enhanced ie. 1066, 1466, 6030. No one is gonna bring a hot tractor there that cannot get more than one hook.

Re: VT boys??? -code man March 06, 2009 04:26AM
never heard of frankfort, don't even know where it is. I'm going to pulling be 8500 and up Hot stock, Altered farm, Enhanced which ever you prefer to call it. Most likely a couple 4230's and a 6030. I wan tto go pulling so anyone with info of any events within 250 miles of zip code 05491 let me know.

Re: VT boys??? -code man March 06, 2009 11:53PM
Frankfort is the Herkimer county fair, located between Herkimer and Utica right off state 5 s. fair pull is probably around august 23. it would be nice to see some good running deeres there to break up the usual red parade.

Re: VT boys??? - puller2 March 07, 2009 08:10AM
Dear puller2, I was just wondering how you ever expect to beat a green tractor with a blue one. You should know better than that. And then if this so called big cube light green one comes out of vt, there isn't a blue tractor this side of the Mississippi that would beat it. I've never heard of a 6000lb 6cyl ford anyway. 4 sure as hell isn't gonna cut it and those 8010 things just don't have it in them.

Re: VT boys??? - puller2 March 08, 2009 11:41PM
what are you pulling 4whatever nobody said anything about a 6cyl 8010 but we know what your thinking of now

Re: VT boys??? -code man March 07, 2009 08:12AM
One problem with the Herkimer date is Mardi Gras in Bowling Green, I've never been since it always conflicts with a local county fair, so I may go this year.

Re: VT boys??? -code man March 08, 2009 12:41AM
Cincy pull is May 23 down on rt 26 in NEW YORK you VT boys were there last season thats the soonest pull around that i know of. anyone else know of a pull sooner?

Re: VT boys??? -code man March 08, 2009 09:16AM
that was a hike for us, didn''t know they have a date for this year, thats good to know. Ed Munroe you should post a listing of the classes you are running.

Re: VT boys??? -code man March 08, 2009 01:58PM
Yeah i may be interested in that pull as well if monroe puts up the class listings. where is that pull located?

Re: VT boys??? -code man March 09, 2009 04:37AM
The rules are same as brookfeild same with the classes. its 1 hour or so. 50 miles from bookfield fair grounds

Re: VT boys??? -code man March 09, 2009 11:33AM
yo code man give more info on this pull like how do i get there and times i might go photograph

Re: VT boys??? -code man March 09, 2009 11:57AM
Just take RT 26 off of RT 20 between Madison and Morrisville. The pull is right on RT 26 about 45 mins once you get on Rt 26(in a car anyway). That would be fantastic if you could get down there to take some pics. Dont know much about it but Ed will post it but May 22 there is a truck pull down there and there having a truck dyno down there to. then the tractors are the next day CANT WAIT!!! As fare as i know thats the first pull for around here and i know its gunna be the MR. MACHINE sled. I know there expecting a good turn out so get word out boys

Re: VT boys??? -code man March 09, 2009 01:12PM
The pull dates are May 23 and 24. The 4x4 pickups, and stock semis will be there saturday the 23, a dyno for the pickups will also be there on saturday. The Tractors will be sunday the 24 classes will be 5500.6500,7500,9500,10500,11500,13500,15500 farmstock, and 6500,7500,thinkin bout an 8500,9500,10500,11500,13500 enhanced/hot farm classes. Like code said get the word out we need a good turnout.

Re: VT boys??? -code man March 10, 2009 01:19AM
Don't want to tell you what to do but, pull tractors on Saturday if you want a good turn out of tractors, maybe truck are more popular in that area. Thats my opinion. Getting home sunday night at midnight or later sucks to start the work week.

Re: VT boys??? -code man March 10, 2009 02:43AM
Yes, but being memorial day weekend we didnt think it would be a big deal.

Re: VT boys??? -code man March 10, 2009 04:12AM
I see, didn't realize it was memorial day weekend.

Re: VT boys??? -code man March 10, 2009 11:19AM
Ed what time does this all start. I know like the vt boys i have a haul. You know how far it is from where you are to westport. I wanna make it but im not leaving here at 3 to make it there for 8 or whenever haha. also what class's are gonna run first or just going to stager farm and altered starting light going up

Re: VT boys??? -code man March 10, 2009 02:13PM
Pulling will probably start at like 10am I believe and yes the classes will probably staggered, this stuff hasnt really been decided yet, but i will keep you posted. From my house which is a mile from the pull, it took me about 6 hours to get to westport including fuel stops, and a couple other problems(air to air hoses blowing off on the pickup).

Re: VT boys??? -code man March 11, 2009 01:36PM
Oh man im 20 mins north of westport. thats a haul. Gonna try to make it. Want to see what breaks there before the majority of the pulls come around. haha.
