Case 451 November 16, 2013 02:58PM
Do they make a .060 piston for the 451 in a 1070 case? 4.435 would be the bore size and would get it close to the 466 cube limit. Thanks for any info!

If you're going to run over 1000 Hp, find a 504 block, with the oilers on the pistons, also some 504 have a bigger journal size and the cranks have more counter wts on them. Haugs could prob help find what you need. Can get a thicker sleeve made and custom piston.

Where do you pull, cause if you pull with the Henry County group I would put what ever block you wanted to. Lord knows they do what ever the h*!! they want.

l wouldn't go through all the money to gain 15 ci until you have
the best pump injectors and turbo money can buy. Head work would
be the next area for a huge improvement. You will start to crack sleeves
once your making 700hp and then you could buy the good
sleeves and pistons. Puting oilers in isn't a big deal, you just have to drill
and tap the block into the oil gallies. Find an empty big crank 504 and copy
it and buy the squirters.

The motor size probably wouldn't be a huge issue for a while, will the small crank hold up in a low rpm stock like class? I have been told the large crank 451s are hard to come by. I'm not sure what the Henry class rules are but we have to keep the stock block so that's what we're trying to stick to. Thanks for the info
